Will this fit hotpoint fetc70cp

According to amazon this will fit your tumble dryer

We have installed the new pump and it seems to have fixed the issue, but it’s making a strange whirring noise. Does it need wearing in or is it faulty

Make sure that the pipe is free from any debris. However, the old unit I changed made a whirring sound but that one also worked.
