Worth it's asking price - and then some.
Now this... this is an IEM worth $99. Great accessories, great cable, great sound. This is the most comfortable and well presented IEM I have heard for under $100. The tonal balance through the mids and highs is spot on and decently detailed. The bass extends pretty deep, but the quantity of the bass is a little much, especially in the 150-200 Hz range. If you can handle this with a little bit of EQ on your phone or desktop, these are hard to beat. The case they come with is really nice and convenient. They feel nice in the hand but also feel sturdy enough that I don't feel uncomfortable taking them around town with me (though I always put them back in their case when not in use). For what iBasso is trying to do here, I think they've hit a home run. High quality cable, high quality packaging, and a mostly really cohesive sound signature with elevated bass. A very easy product to recommend.

Great Value IEM's With Great Customer Service
This is the 2nd pair of IT01's I've owned. I lost the first and bought a second one because I liked it so much. I got this because it was reviewed so well on reddit, and I was in the market for some IEM's. I've been using them over a year with very few problems. I didn't have any of the MMCX connection issues with my IEM's. It was actually a little tight, and i was afraid i would break them when trying to disconnect them, but i got them off eventually with no problem. I did have the sound dropping infrequently in my left bud. I'm pretty sure this is because i constantly just shove the wires into my pocket. I contacted customer support since it was since within its warranty period and they sent me a replacement. Not an audiophile, so i can't attest to V shaped sound signature, but it sounds great with plenty of bass but not overpowering.

Great, deep bass, but a little fiddly to wear. Amazing sound for a hundy!
Update 11/8/18: Took off a star. As I continue to use these and compare them to my full-size headphones (is that fair? time will tell), I just notice too much harshness in the midrange. They still have amazing bass and remain awesome for g-funk, rock, pop (like Sia), and other bass/V-shaped loving stuff, but for fuller material like jazz, classical, or folk, I'm going to try for different IEM's. Original review remains below. You'll see I mention the midrange issues, and the issue seems to have grown or become more noticeable to me over time. --- These guys have great, deep bass, while managing to also sound great across the range. They sound good on anything, including my cell phone. They are also good at privacy as they don't leak much - I can listen to loud music in bed without disturbing the wife. I got the blue/red combo to make sure nobody would want to steal them. Yeah they're fugly but I never have to look for that little R or L in the dark again! They can be a bit fiddly to wear and size the tips. Take your time on this and don't judge right away. I ended up using the largest foam tips, as that seems to create the best seal - and a good seal is important for the best sound. I first tried the large silicone tips and found there was very little bass due to a lack of a good seal. The N.E.R.D. song 'Lemon' has some very, very low bass hits that some headphones hide completely. Not these guys, they go LOW. If I had a criticism, I guess it could be that the midrange may lack in detail or maybe feels a bit compressed/fuzzy at times. But this is compared to more expensive full size cans (K7XX and M1060's). I suck at reviewing headphones anyway so try them for yourself. They're very good, especially for a hundy! That's lunch money! (ok, dinner money)

Superb SQ for the price, MMCX needs a lot work - Over all not a qualified consumer product
I'm very satisfied with the sound stage, the lows, mids and highs. Vocal is a bit back(some says recessed, i don't think it is that bad). Clarity is pretty good. I don't use my big cans as often as I did before. However, as good as its stock cable is, the MMCX connection is not reliable at all. Like the other buyers has found out, they are either too loose or too tight. In my case, the right ear could easily come off. Whatever adjustments iBasso has done to fix the over tight connection, it was overdone. I'm always worried about losing it or stop working one day. Edit: 2 months into this IEMs, the right ear piece came of when it was in my pocket and was lost for good. If you have read other reviews, you know it's a common issue for the product. At the end of the day, this is a consumer but not a experimental product. From my experience, the defect design of MMCX connection make the product below consumer grade, meaning it should not be on the market until such defect is fixed.

These are truly great in every way for $100
I will start out with packaging. This product was packaged so well and it was a joy to open. It captured my excitement. From the high-quality box to the cleanly packaged case and monitors as shown in the pictures. They are very well made. The actual monitors are solid and the cable is really nice. The cable is a combination of wires braided together that are separately sleaved. The coating is very nice and seems to be something that will hold up. The cable is not very rubbery so it will not get caught on everything which I like a lot. It is also completely detachable from the monitors in case you need a replacement. The IEMs come with more than enough ear tips to fit any ear and a beautiful case to protect everything. The sound is just what I wanted and it may surpass my expectations for this product. From what I can tell so far they provide a slightly warm sound with great bass but not overpowering. Acoustic music sounds great and highs do not fade away.

A couple of major problems in an otherwise Great pair of IEMs
I'm writing this review now as the left IEM has failed at around 3 months. First I'd like to say that I do a lot of movement and thus these IEMs have gone through some serious stress testing so when you see that 3 months, just know that my lifestyle choices are part of why they broke and the span of 3 months is not too uncommon. However there were some major issues that could have lead to a medical disaster. About 1 month into owning the product, the metal bit covering the internals somehow dislodged itself from the left IEM and ended up stuck deep in my ear for 5 days causing some fairly serious pain. I was able to remove it and everything cleared up but considering how far it got into my ear I am surprised that nothing serious came of it after removal. About 2 months in the provided MMCX cable actually stopped working entirely for the right IEM but this is pretty common for cables for me, I had many different kinds of spares on hand and these cables breaking often for me so is I always opt for IEMs with replaceable cables as a result. Finally as of two days ago NOV 5th. The left IEM (the one that now had a completely open hole into the internals of the IEM had finally stopped working. for what reason I am not sure as I do not believe any of the other internals fell out(I hope). Which has lead me to my review here. They lasted from August 1st to November 5th. They sounded incredible for price, comparable to a 200 dollar pair of Shure's and they do have a really nice look to them. If you do not move around much with these I could recommend them. But unfortunately there much cheaper price may come at a cost IF you are as active and as abusive with your headphones as I am. I am currently interested in trying the Ibasso IT04's

Buttery smooth, rumbling bass; faithful rendering of electronic, jazz, pop, contemporary rock
Phenomenal IEMS, I can't believe I spent only $100 on this pair. By far amazing quality in sound signature, build and the included cable is just beautiful, especially considering it is hand-braided. It's very clear that iBasso takes pride in craftsmanship and the minute details. It's not clear in the images but the black version actually has a dark, smoky casing so you can kind-of see the internals which is neat. I'm mostly an electronic music fan but also listen to plenty of vocals-heavy music, so I'll comment on how my flavor of music sounds to those that are looking for that purpose. These excell with flying stars in the electronic department. Definitely a 'V' shaped sound signature and response. Very lively, explosive, punchy mid-bass and WOW the low bass is going to rumble your socks off. Very accurate lows and quick responsive and colorful but not harsh highs. Separation is decent but certainly not what you'd get with a balanced armature driver type IEM, though very surprising for a dynamic driver which probably has something to do with the cool tech iBasso used for a lightweight and responsive diaphragm. Over all a splendid sounding IEM for the price.

These are excellent for a single driver IEM
I'm sorry, I have to disagree with the 3-star reviewer. These are highly susceptible to burn in, and several fellow audiophiles on head-fi have agreed that these require at least 100-150 hours of burn in before they play at there full potential. Reviewing these before the burn in period is not fair to these IEMS. These are excellent for a single driver IEM. These have a slight v-shape tuning, but are mostly flat. The midrange is slighly recessed as a result of the vshape tuning, but only by a few decibls, not nearly as agressive say as the Massdrop x NuForce EDC's. However the midrane has excellent clarity in my opinion. I listen to piano tracks all the time with this IEM and I love it. Also these IEMs sound great w/o amplification (using low impedance sources i.e phone), however they really shine w/ amplification. I use these primarily with my Topping NX4DSD using the high Gain (293 mw). They sound great and show no signs of sibilance at all. If that you are really missing those handful of midrange decibels, iBasso also has the IT03 which uses the same graphene dynamic drive and has 2BA built in as well. (Which I'm planning for my next purchase.) Finally, the included cable is gorgeous! If you are considering these IEMs, I highly recommend them!

Comfort and quality sound.
I ordered the IT01 after reading numerous positive reviews. The in-ears are very comfortable and can easily be worn all day. I wear glasses and have no issues with the cord looping over my ears. I am enjoying the sound these put out and I find that the bass is punchier than my Tin T2 Pro's. Punchy but not overwhelming or distorted. Music sounds natural and detailed without any sibilance issues. I would by them again.
