Great phone for a great price
None of these high profile review sites are going to give this phone great reviews. Samsung and Apple would have a fit. Just my opinion. That being said this phone has a great feel, and look. It feels natural for a phone this size and the fingerprint scanner in the rear feels natural as well. I haven't had any issues playing youtube or Netflix videos. Games are a little slower to load, contest of champions and pool, but once they load, no issues. Battery could always better, but if you tweak your optimization you should be happy with the battery life. Expandable storage is great also, I have a 64gb phone for under 150 dollars after buying a micro sd card, Apple and Samsung can't compete. For what you get for 6-700 dollars more with an apple or galaxy phone, I don't think it's worth it.

From Windows phone to Android, this phone is an affordable and suitable choice
All my previous phones are Nokia branded and i am a windows phone user. When Microsoft announced the end of the platform development, i began to looking for a suitable device with Android OS, affordable and capable. I'm not a gamer and i need a device for communications and i use productivity apps. After an investigation i found that Blu R2 plus accomplished with my needs with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the package include a case and screen protector. In spite of some reviews i took the risk and bought the phone. The date of production is 03/18 and it coming with an additional patch security from march 2018. To evaluate the phone we have to consider that it isn't a flagship or a premium device. The first sensations are good, big screen, it isn't heavy, The fingerprint scanner is fast, the screen is very responsive, it has a led for notifications, the camera in normal light conditions is good and a the photos are a little washed in low light conditions. Until now the battery has the performance expected for a big screen phone. The speaker is located at the back of the phone and when it is over a surface, the sound is a bit off. I had some problems to register my google account because it wasn't recognized and i had to use the recover email to register that. Another complaint is to remove the cover is some embarrasing, your nail is the main tool to do it. The call quality is good, i don't have the problem with wifi and bluetooth that other people have had. To a windows phone user, the android learning curve isn't a problem, i will miss the live tiles and if you want the Microsoft services are available in the play store. In general i'm satisfied with the phone, it was the right choice for me.

This is a great phone.
I had a Lenovo Moto G4 and the screen was changing (Ghost) by itself. I had to change the brightness often to stop it. I had a Blu R1 for years. I gave the Blu R1 to my daughter who drops it constantly and she has never had a problem with it. I bought a Blu R2 LTE from Amazon. There are differences between the Blu R2 and the Blu R2 LTE. For example:(R2).....(R2 LTE)8..........13 Megapixel (Camera)1..........2 Gigabytes (RAM)3..........4 G LTE (Speed)8..........16 Gigabytes (Storage)$90......$109 (Price)*R2 and R2 LTE support WiFi 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz** R2 and R2 LTE for the first 24-48 hours Bluetooth was difficult to pair and WiFi dropped. After the first 24-48 this these problems disappeared. I do not know if was because of an Over The Air (OTA) software upgrade or something else.Pay the extra $19 and get the Blu R2 LTE. It was packaged great with a case and a screen protector. It has one micro SD and two micro SIMM slots inside the back aluminum cover. The two SIMMs are for two different phone numbers. The display is 5.2 inches. The display is great but not real High Definition (768 Pixels). The advantages of a small display and a low resolution display are long battery life and low battery consumption. There are two 13 megapixel cameras and two flashes. One camera and flash is on the back and one camera and flash is on the front. Camera resolution is not the determining factor for picture quality. Aperture, focus and image stabilization also determine picture quality. The back camera is decent. I did not use the front camera. The phone is great. The one speaker located on the back of the phone is loud and there is an electronic boost. The earphone jack and micro USB (Not USB C) are located on the top of the phone and are not centered (Unusual). It has Android Nouget 7.0. I do not know if Oreo 8.0 upgrade is included. This is not the phone with the biggest display for $109 but it is the highest quality phone I have seen for $109. There is also an accelerometer, charge and notification light, and proximity sensor. Mine is Gold it came with a semi-transparent white and frosted silicone case. It looks more expensive than it cost.To improve picturesCameraAnti-shake On (default Off)Also considerAuto Scene Detection On (default Off)Picture Size 8 M (Full Frame) (default 13 M)To increase speedSettingsBLU PrivacyHelp improve BLU products Off (default On)Enhanced Device Support Off (default On)I also bought a Blu R2 Plus. It has a bigger display 5.5 inches and high resolution (1028 Pixels). The battery life is shorter. Also, the Blu R2 Plus does not have CDMA for Verizon. I prefer the Blu R2 LTE versus the Blu R2 Plus because of the battery life and CDMA for Verizon.

Check it over for defects first - otherwise a good value for satisfactory phone
I had to return this unit because Bluetooth would not recognize my headphones or bluetooth receiver--both are new and even after reboots, etc. I'm hoping a new one I order will not have this problem.Putting the above aside, the phone seems fine. Not great, but fine. It's a little laggy--probably due to the inferior processor, and the speaker volume is low. The camera was also ok, not great, but more then satisfactory for my limited needs. Fingerprint ID worked well enough, usually recognizing my finger on the first or second try. BLU also ships with some kind of loyalty program app that you should disable--it is bad enough that Google and others track our use, no need to volunteer for BLU to do that too. It's unlocked, GSM, with dual SIM--perfect for the foreign travel I am planning. I'll use it outside the US with locally purchased SIM cards, and inside the US--if I feel like it--using AT&T's prepaid service. For $130, it's still a great buy, which is why I will try another unit and see if Bluetooth will operate properly.Updated: 2d phone I ordered appears to work well. No bluetooth issues. The power switch does not appear to depress much, so it is difficult to know if you have turned it on or off by touch alone. But the phone appears to be working as advertised. It is not blazing fast, and the battery drains quickly while playing video. But it is still a good value for the price.

Good budget phone
This is good budget phone with lots of storage. Works quickly at all tasks although I don't play games on it. One issue with the phone is to do with 4G - The phone doesn't use band 20 800mhz which is the frequency that O2 and Tesco use so on these networks you can't get 4G. Other networks use different frequencies so should pick up 4G ok. That being said I'm on O2 and my phone works fine using 3G and It's quicker than my friends phones that are using 4G so for me this hasn't been an issue. The battery last well for me and charges in a couple of hours which is ok as I charge it in the evening.
