Neither hear nor there
So, initially I was really excited about this product. I gram net carbs, chocolate brownie, I was like yes! The product came in the mail just fine, the box it came in was a little beat up. The bars felt soft in the wrapper and 12 come in a box. I read somewhere that the secret is to microwave the bar for 15 seconds, so I took half the bar and microwed it, and tried the other half on its own.The taste is somewhat offputting. The ingreadients seem really good but it had this chemical diet taste to it that lingers for a long time. I actually had to eat gum to get the taste out of my mouth. The texture was soft and chewy, I would say the consistancy is a lot like a Quest bar, but not as gritty.I do like the amount of fiber and the ingredients seem really healthy but I would not recommend this bar. I am sure there are other products on the market that will actually taste better than the chocolate brownie. I have eaten my share of protein bars/health bars over the years and I actually think I can eat some where others can't, so this is not my first type of "these" kinds of bars. Save money do research and go for somehting with a 4+ star rating.UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE!I have to retract my initial review. After reading through other reviews, I read you should microwave the bar for 20 seconds. I did that for about 23 seconds and it changed the fast dramatically, better chocolate taste and little to no after taste. I will be getting these again!

These bars WERE amazing for a while
Okay I’m literally leaving next to no points. These bars WERE amazing for a while, esp w their carb to fiber ratio however I was completelyLet down w the last two boxes I ordered. I always got the chocolate brownie that made me stop in my tracks, and the cookie dough. The last two boxes of each I ordered wereFor lack of a better term hard to chew let alone enjoy and swallow. I thought possibly as an independent distributer I’d giveSome slack however once the next sets of boxes were just as bad, I had to report here while requesting a refund.**dont increase quests business, revert to your former recipes

Taste Fine, Nutritionally Superior to Most, Labeling Screwy
So this is the 4th type of Juilan Bakery bar I've tried. In the interest of honesty, I'm going to have to say...these taste like a chocolatey version of their sunflower butter bars. In fact, Cocoa and chocolate flavor and probiotics (which aren't really going to alter the flavor), are really the only differences in the recipe. Now, this is a comment that I think is necessary for Julian Bakery to address when it comes to the accuracy of their labels, but I don't really feel like it affects the quality of the product, because I happen to love these bars based on the naturalness of the ingredients and the fact that they aren't filled with all sorts of chemical crud.So...Sunflower butter bars: 150 calories listed. These, 170. And yet, the sunflower bars are listed as having both a higher fiber and carb count, all other macros listed are the same, so...the math doesn't add up. Now, you're average tablespoon of cocoa powder does have 20 calories in it, which would account for the difference in calories, but then that should also be reflected in the fiber and protein counts, because cocoa powder has those things. So...I'm looking at the labels, they don't add up, and it's totally giving me a headache, and I think the company needs to address that. I also think perhaps that the naming of their bars is probably where they get in trouble. If they'd just called it a chocolate bar...well, it's definitely that. Brownie? Nope. And I happen to have an awesome gluten free paleo brownie cup recipe I use because my son can't have gluten, and I've tasted those suckers, and *yum*, I'm telling you it is possible to have something paleo taste like a brownie. So probably where many people are struggling with this is the name versus the taste.I happen to think these taste just fine, very much like a chocolate caramel. That's definitely not a brownie, but it's still quite good. I'm a huge fan of the fact that these don't use any of the artificial sweeteners, all of which have a host of negative side effects for your health. Just as an fyi, these will come with a bit of oil on the outside to keep it from sticking to the packaging I imagine, I just wipe it off and there's no problem there as far as I'm concerned. And I still am totally in love with the naturalness of the ingredients. So I think these are definitely worth my time and money based on the naturalness of the ingredients and the taste, I do think they'd be more popular though if they came up with different names for some of their bars that more closely matched the actual flavoring.

Clean! But I won’t be buying again sadly
The media could not be loaded.  All clean ingredients which is what I am looking for in a food bar. It IS dairy (whey), but I made an exception this time because it’s grass-fed dairy.Mildly sweet. No grainy texture. Not very peanut buttery though. If it had more flavor I’d probably buy it again. So, so dense and thick! If you have any teeth or biting issues this is not for you. Very chewey and slow to soften so you really have to chew longer which is actually a good thing for digestion really, since carb digestion begins in the mouth. No strong after taste but a bit sticky you’ll be cleaning the roof of your mouth and licking your teeth for a while afterward.Ok in a pinch. Glad there are lots of positives since I’ll be eating 10 more. (Ate 1 for a meal and I won’t be wasting the one I opened to do the video as they’re not cheap. But with all clean ingredients I don’t expect cheap.)

Very Chewy
I love that they have 20 g of protein. They are extremely chewy which doesn't bother me but folks with dental problems may have issues with them.
