As someone who is always looking for ways to stay active and healthy, I was thrilled to come across Jackie Jacobs' "Fitness Freedom for Seniors". This well-researched and engaging guide provides concrete techniques and tools to help older readers improve their balance, flexibility, and strength, and even slow down the aging process. What I enjoyed most about the book were the detailed illustrations and step-by-step techniques that made it easy to follow along with the exercises. The author also provided healthy living advice and real-world examples that went beyond physical activity, which I found very helpful in creating a well-rounded routine. One of the standout features of the book was its emphasis on creating a personal workout plan. The author provided examples of different plans but also offered guidance on how to customize them to fit each individual's unique needs and preferences. This personalized approach, along with the clear instructions and do's and don'ts, made it easy for me to get started on my fitness journey. The book also provides advice on how to physically and mentally prepare for your fitness journey ahead, and how to remain disciplined and motivated even through the challenging times. I appreciated the author's compassionate and enthusiastic tone throughout the book, which made me feel like she was cheering me on every step of the way.Overall, "Fitness Freedom for Seniors" is a fast, easy, and comprehensive guide that provides seniors with the tools they need to live a healthy, pain-free life in their golden years. Essential guide for healthy seniors
What I loved about this book (being a senior myself) was the discussion about how our bodies change as we age. This reinforced for me why it is essential to work out as a senior. I am sixty-six, however, I think this book would be great for anyone 50+. I found the descriptions of the fifteen-minute workouts most valuable because it makes fitness seems easy to do. I don't have an hour to workout at the gym, but I can do these workouts around the house. I also enjoyed reading the sections about diet, supplements, and vitamins which, as a senior, I have come to rely on. This is an excellent book for seniors wanting to restore their energy and slow the downside of aging.

Motivating!
The book reiterates reinforces what we all should know but often find it hard to be consistent and stick to it. Exercise, especially in our later years is so important to keep us healthy, energetic and prevent injury and disease. This book offers practice tips to make exercise easy, less of a chore and without expensive or complicated equipment. It also speaks of the importance of supplements, nutrition , and healthy eating. Very good to inspire one to make a simple plan to stick to a routine and enjoy activities and sports into any age.

Gives the why and the how
This is a perfect fitness book. The detail as to why certain aspects of workout are important such as warming up and cooling down demonstrations before and after actual workouts. The age factor is explained as structured into the particular exercise. Very precise and well-written book. 5 star.

Doable Workouts
I like the framework of this book. It provides doable workouts for aged men and women who are not looking to get in incredible shape. Rather, just looking for improved health and mobility. The workouts range in difficulty, but are all manageable and provide a variety that focus on different muscles. Very good.

Motivational
Iβm in my 60s and was fit and active until I hit my mid-50s then, for no reason, I became sedentary. It was like someone had turned the light off. I found this book to be very motivational, and it has reignited my passion for an active lifestyle. I really liked the weekly workout plans and exercises targeting specific areas of the body. What I found motivational, though, was the information on how much muscle mass and bone density one loses after thirty, then after 60, and all the other functions of the body that begin to slip and slide that an appropriate exercise plan could reverse. The Author offers solid, understandable advice on strength training workouts specifically designed for seniors (in my mind, Iβm 35ish) with a view to restoring balance, energy, confidence, and even better sleep patterns and cognitive function. The detailed instructions on performing each exercise correctly and avoiding injuries are particularly helpful for someone who is reacquainting themselves with physical activity.Good book
