Great first impression
The inlet and outlet are marked on the opposite side. I plumbed the fresh air going out the "in" side. (the side with mesh) and the dirty air coming in the "out". As for the product its self it seems great and well built. I did haft to fabricate a different bracket, however that was only due to my application

Rough drivers need this
So what I bought, this EVIL ENERGY oil catch can; well first good reason cause our car was burning oil like crazy and this itโs actually an oil separator, it has to be inserted into the middle of the crankcase breather system. So this line goes back into the port, from the crankcase, and it comes up here, goes through this oil separator, so the catch can, and then out and into the intake manifold. Well before getting to know this will be the solution to our problem I learned what is an oil catch tank (oil catch can) is a device that is fitted into the cam/crank case ventilation system on a car. Installing an oil catch tank (can) aims to reduce the amount of oil vapors re-circulated into the intake of the engine. All engines have some amount of blowby and even if that amount is small, capturing oil before it gets into the intake is a plus. As oil enters the intake it has a tendency to stick to the back of the intake valves creating carbon build up. So that is why is so important to have one installed. The only thing I would recommend to get is a new hose line It was simple to installed , and will help keep your engine turning despite big power mods. Oil in your intake is never a good thing. Recommended we all need one

With a little modification this turns into an awesome filter.
surprisingly made from billet aluminum, I bought some real vaccum hose and gear clamps to make it work better. The hose it came with were terrible. If you use a little pipe thread sealant tape it seals and holds a vaccum like a champ. it catches oil and water just like it promised. Amazing results and peace of mind for the price. Add a little steel wool from home depot in the baffles and it works even better.

Great Catch Can and an easy install
Great product, it will really help the longevity of my truck's engine. I just bought my truck and want to keep it in as good of condition as possible. Catching all of the blow by in the catch can, versus allowing it to go directly back into my engine will be a huge help! Evil Energy did a great job on this catch can and the pricing is very reasonable. The only issue I had with the installation was they only provide 2 hose clamps, when I really wanted 4. The factory uses hard plastic tubing to connect the Pollution Control Valve (PCV) to the inlet on the intake manifold. They obviously heat mold this tube on and fits extremely tightly onto the barbs of the fittings, as such, there are no hose clamps on these fittings. However, I never trust that an after market rubber hose pressed onto the fittings may not come loose and want the added security of hose clamps. Further, Evil Energy provided 3/8" hose but my vehicle required use of the 1/2" fittings they provided - but they did not provide any 1/2" hosing. This meant a trip to the automotive store for supplies - after I had my truck apart. Lesson learned - always make sure you have all parts and supplies needed before beginning the project. I still rate the product highly, I just think Evil Energy needed to include those extra items and just charge an extra few dollars to offset the cost. It would have saved me time, hassle and an extra $15 in parts at the automotive store. Every vehicle with a turbo definitely should have a catch can. Ordinary engines will also benefit from one too.

Quality catch can
I chose to try this oil catch can even though it is half or a third of the price of brands from other suppliers and was really surprised at the high quality of the parts. Even the hose supplied was a proper fuel hose type. Installation was super easy and everything fit well. I used a bit of silicone grease on the threads of the canister to help stop the binding. The kit did not come with teflon tape for the bars fittings but probably not needed as there are supplied o-rings for the seal at the fittings anyway. Iโd recommend the kit
