Good keyboard
I'm enjoying this great classic of a keyboard. Built in 2017 when they built them better for cheaper. Don't mind the USB mini connection. Nice Cherry MX switches and sturdy construction. The dust cover is great too making it easy to take to work. Sure USBC would have been better but doesn't make a difference. Only one in stock and I'm sure there gone for good.

Good product,No support
I just got the keyboard a couple of weeks ago. Overall I like the keyboard. One of the main selling points for me, though, was the included, optional metal keys for the WASD and Arrows buttons. With the keyboard's white backlighting and the metal keys, it matched my computer's color and lighting scheme very well. Based on the pics I thought the keyboard looked very nice with the metal keycaps installed. When I received the keyboard I was disappointed to realize that the metal keycaps they sent me did not fit the button posts. The + shaped socket in the back of the keycaps was too small and would not properly fit onto the posts. They would just barely sit on top of them and when I tried to use them they would tip over or fall right off. I know it wasn't something that I was doing wrong, as the original keycaps fit perfectly. I eventually got the metal keycaps to go onto the posts by taking the tip of a razer knife and using it to etch out and enlarge the opening in the back of the keycaps. It took some time but I was eventually able to enlarge the sockets enough to fit on the posts. I sent an email to Amazon about the issue, AND to Cougar, themselves, and neither of them have responded to me. That's pretty disappointing, as this wasn't exactly a cheap product. I know I could have sent it back and got a refund, but I didn't want to do that over the keycaps being defective, as I actually do like the keyboard, itself. The "Cherry MX: Red" switches feel very nice and responsive. And the included magnetic keyboard cover is very nice. I put the cover on the keyboard any time I'm not using it, or if I'm eating at my desk. It comes in handy for avoiding getting any crumbs on your keyboard. This is also my first mechanical keyboard. Up until now I have only ever gamed with membrane style keyboards. I'm glad I spent a little extra money and finally got myself a mechanical keyboard. The difference is huge.

Good keyboard, crappy (metal) caps.
Updated and Amended:The keyboard works, though I have some gripes towards it for it's design choices and interoperability with Linux systems. It's a good 'First' mechanical, or a good 'travel' mechanical, though. Would still take this over a membrane keyboard any day, unless it had a PS/2 adapter.Pros:- Basic Functionality works, can type for days without trouble.- Detatchable, Braided cable- Cheap for a mechanical.- Liquid / Debris Shield- Board doesn't flex too bad on it's own.Cons:- Some function keys do not work natively under some desktop environments, namely KDE Plasma. They may be map-able through the environment settings, but not out-of the box. Media keys (other than volume control), as well as mail and calculator do not function.- The provided metal key caps break down quicker than the plastic ones due to the construction of their pegs. -- All but two of my metal keycaps have structural damage, A and Left Arrow. That's a 4mo life expectancy. -- Not sure if it's just the structural integrity, or if there's also a difference in material. It might also be that the LED makes contact with the keycaps when they bottom out, since the failure is usually on the sides or top of the peg. -- They also scuff pretty easily if you drop something on the keyboard by accident, like a small screwdriver or pen, opening up for oxidization.Other:- While the main legend is well lit, the sub-characters (or functions) are barely so, due to the placement of the LEDs on the switch. This is more to do with the design of the switches themselves, compared to say a RomerG switch.- The cover seems to have some give in the center of it, so would not advise throwing it in a backpack with a bunch of small books, or game controllers.

A solid keyboard at a great price!
This appears to be a very solid keyboard and it has served well so far. I like the feel of the Cherry Red switches, but I have to admit that I probably would prefer a slightly wider key spacing for my large hands. I'm not sure that any of the other brands were any larger, and they certainly were much more expensive for similar quality. I had one issue that I think was not the manufacturer's fault. I initially had my keyboard and mouse plugged into an extended USB hub. When I plugged a third device into this hub I began having irregular functioning of the keyboard and mouse - at one point I thought this keyboard had failed. I was planning to pack it up and send it back to Amazon and decided to use it hooked directly to the USB port on the computer via its own USB extension cable. I did that months ago and the keyboard has functioned properly ever since. I suspect that the overloaded previously used USB hub had voltage issues and caused the keyboard to malfunction. I bought this for the quality and the low price - the white lit keys are nice but I have no need for dazzling, multicolored keyboards.

A excellent quality keyboard, with a very clean look.
I love this keyboard, it's of great build quality, weighty, with great feeling keys. I've never been a fan of flash rgb lighting or lighting in general but the adjustable white LED keys are great. It's not looks good and it's functional. The tenkeyless keyboard is perfect for my little gaming desk where space is a bit more demanding, I can put it in position to fit me very comfortably for gaming and typing, I also like the magnetic hard covering to keep dust and junk from building up. This is more of a budget keyboard but it really doesn't feel like a more expensive keyboard. The Switches are real cherry red switches, the all metal construction, and lack of rgb (which I think makes anything look cheap) this keyboard has all the features I want and nothing I don't want. I would recommend this keyboard to anyone looking for tenkeyless keyboard.

Questionable quality
Got this in May of 2020. It has been great until I discovered my 'Z' key wasn't working. I tried a driver refresh, checking windows settings, pretty any fix aside from soldering a new switch and nothing. It's been over a year so there's no warranty so I have to buy a new keyboard now.

Perfect for casual and hardcore gamers
Instantly noticed a improvement in response time so much so that I had to re learn how to do specific game mechanics certainly perfect for games and typing is a dream couldn't ask for a better keyboard it's everything you need and a few extras including nice cable management and lights though not led but still very pretty! Overall I would buy this again!

Best keyboard ever
This thjng is perfect. Mine wasn't a version with the aluminum keys though. Wish they would specify more if the box contains them or not on the product page. But a cheap aliexprwss order later and I got my own aluminum keys and this thing looks great, feels great, and the magnetic cover is a godsend for keeping it clean and dust free

High quality for the price!
Switches are great. Nice feel overall. Really simple design. Came with a protective cover. Detachable USB cable. NOT RGB, but nice white backlight.
