Fire Starter for Fireplace 192 Squares, Fire Starters Squares Non-Toxic Safe for Camping, Bonfires, and BBQs Fire Starter Cubes

The squares on these fire starters are small than I expected base on ones I’ve used in the past. They do work well I just use a tad more. They burn well and do a nice job when lighting my wood stove at camp.

This is a great product. What can I say. They work. 1 square will get a fire started without kindling, if the wood is dry. I have bought this several times now. I have bought others that were lame. This product is the real deal. Works as described.

I decided to post this review with the country of origin information as I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere on this listing, which is unfortunate. I haven’t used them yet, but will update this review after I try them. I am a little hesitant of burning these in my home given their country of origin. UPDATE: This is the third brand of fire starters I have used and they are adequate, but do not break apart as easily, and are thinner and therefore require more product per use than other brands. Score remains at 3 stars.

Pieces break off jaggedly and crumbly, often need more than one piece to get the fire lit. Unlike other brands.

These are my preferred brand. I bought a new brand due to a sale and it was a mistake. These light and stay lit. That’s start my pellet stove without issue every time.

These start fine but are half the size of the ones I normally use so I find that using 2 is much easier since you can burn your fingers easily if you hold them to light. I much prefer the larger ones. REVISED OPINION after 2 months : OK- I changed my rating from 3 to 5 stars. I put on my Big Boy pants and found I could hold one in my hand and light it with the charcoal lighter without burning my fingers-just be careful (duh) since they start quickly-or lay it on the grill before lighting the paper under the charcoal chimney. I'll be buying more. Half the size as the larger ones and they start the fire just fine

You cannot break these into the pictured squares without them delaminating and falling apart. They will light a fire (2 stars) but don't expect to get more than 50% of usable fire starters. Definately not worth the money.

I purchased another brand of fire starter a few years ago and I tried to reorder only to find out it was no longer available. I tried this brand as it seemed similar to my previous buy. They work OK, but not as well as the other. The old brand took two of the small bricks to light my firepit and this one takes four or more.
