My 6 yr old is very into crafting and sewing. She absolutely loves this set. The adhesive parts are a little hard to peel, but still a very great kit.

I wanted to love these. They are super cute. And I love that each animal comes in a little package so you have all the pieces sorted. BUT the self adhesive pieces don’t work. When you take off the paper, no matter how careful you are or how you do it, the sticky pulls off on the paper leaving you with a useless piece of felt that won’t really stick. I was really disappointed.

The kids really enjoyed this fairyland sewing kit. My kids are young and just getting interested in sewing and I didn't want something too complicated that would just be too difficult or frustrate them. So this was a really nice option and it had really cute designs and it let them make a lot of different things that they really liked. It was nice that it was a sewing project that was on their level. It was a great craft and it also was nice because then they have the things that they can keep once they're done. I was happy with it and would recommend it.

With Summer upon us and school being out this is a wonderful craft to have on hand when my niece’s little cousins come to visit! It is a perfect rainy day activity or if it’s just too hot to play outside! We love these felt sewing kits and some are better than others but this one is really great! It comes with everything you need to create the cutest little “stuffed” animals that her cousins can take home with them! I enjoy helping the kids if they need my assistance because honestly I love doing these felt projects too! The felt is good quality as is the thread it comes with needle threaders and plastic needles which are much longer than the needles from my other felt sewing kits! Each animal is wrapped in cellophane with everything you need to finish with the little eyes, ears, mouths, etc. that you just peel and stick on after you have finished sewing and stuffing the little critters! Each animal comes with an instruction sheet all its own with detailed steps by steps and a picture of how the finished animal is supposed to look! This is one of our favorite felt animals sewing kit we have ever worked with! We’re trying to save these for a rainy day and the cousins but it’s just so rewarding to see your little animal “come to life” so to speak that I may have to order another kit or two to have on hand when the little cousins arrive for a visit! My son absolutely adores these. This was the arts and crafts item that we never knew we needed, but we did! These are absolutely fantastic and teach your children to do things with art that they had previously not cared about. My son is now in the habit of making his own little sewn items because he loves doing it so much, which he discovered through this kit. It does not take children long to complete each item and once its done they have a new fun toy to play with or to give to a friend. My kids spent hours making each one of these and were so excited to show them off and give them away once they were finished. I am not joking, I recommend these to everyone, now. It is such a great way to keep your children entertained in something that doesn't revolve around the TV. I highly recommend you give this product a try, or give it as a gift to someone you care about, you will not regret it!

This is a beginner’s kit, probably age-appropriate, and could be given as a gift. That said, it’s not that great! The variety of animals is nice, but the quality of the product is lacking. The stickers are faulty. When pulling the felt off the backing, the adhesive sticks to the backing. It is possible to pull the adhesive off, but obviously, that’s not ideal. The instructions are clearly not by a native English speaker and could stand to be more descriptive - they’re not particularly useful/helpful and a kid working on the kit alone might have a little trouble understanding through the grammar problems. Apart from the deficiencies, the kit can be used to provide diversion for kids and help the younger ones work on their dexterity and/or sewing skills. Older kids might also enjoy working with their hands or having something to keep them bust for a brief while. As a gift, I wouldn’t give this for a special occasion or as the main gift. Perhaps as a supplement or a “just because” or no-special-occasion gift, it might be acceptable.

For kids who want to incorporate some practical skills into their imaginative play or aspiring sewists with beginner level dexterity, this intro-to-sewing kit is sure to delight. The 9 included projects are already hole-punched, focusing this project on properly assembling the pattern pieces and the act of up/down sewing with a plastic needle with a large eye (rather than a traditional metal sewing needle). The final creations themselves are very cute and result in a fun cast of characters for future adventures. Our co-op kids have been a little hit or miss with this set. For the students who are just looking to keep their hands busy, they're happy with projects. However, our students who actually enjoy sewing have been a little insulted that the holes are pre-punched and that the included needles are safety needles. This likely has something to do with their feeling very accomplished coming out of a beginner sewing class with adult supplies. However, overall, this is an excellent hands-on project to keep on hand for kid entertainment and perfectly giftable.
