Price & quality.
Extremely easy to install (approx. 7 minutes), and it fit perfectly into the mirror housing. Ford wanted over $250 to take out the bad motor and install a new one. I took it apart and did the replacement for $25. It's not noisy, and works perfect.

Good when they work
For what they’re worth, these are cheap and easy side mirror motors to install. Emphasis on the cheap. They are significantly noisier compared to the OEM motors. And they definitely don’t last as long. I installed a pair of these on my 2012 Explorer last summer. Barely 6 months later, they failed and I have to install a new set. The ball arms that control the plate that’s connected to the mirror managed to detach. All that said, quick delivery and quick install. Hopefully this current pair lasts longer than the last ones did.

It was an easy install but the mirror seems to have a little more play than it did with the old control motor. It's not enough that it wobbles around while I'm driving, but I'm worried about longevity and the ability to run the truck through a car wash. It was very noisy, initially, and would only go about 1/4 of the way in any direction without pulling off the control then going again. I moved it a few times in all directions and that issue went away. As others have mentioned, this one is lacking the connection for the driver memory wiring harness but that wasn't a deal breaker; in the 15 years I've owned my truck, I've only hit those memory buttons on accident.

Bought this for a 2024 Ford F150 STX (passenger side mirror). I'm happy with this unit - fits perfectly. Yes, as others have said, this unit is a little loud... but it's irrelevant to me. I will rarely move the mirror once it's set.
