I think I just bought a bottle of cyanoacrylate( crazy glue). It smells just like it . I already had some that I store in the garage freezer. I thought I was getting something more like the plumber’s pvc pipe glue in a different container.I’m using it for some loose trim on my window shutters. I never used it on plastics but I’m sure it will work fine. It’s really handy stuff.

I had never installed PVC trim before, so I watched some videos and saw this adhesive being used. I gave it a try, and it works exactly as advertised, which is extremely well. Be advised, however, that you will get ONE opportunity for alignment of your parts. As soon as it grabs, it will not let go. I was creating miter joints, and through trial and error I found the best method was to test fit the parts, apply glue, bring the long points together, then bring the two surfaces of the joint into contact and hold it for 20 seconds. At that point, the adhesive had essentially set and I could add a single screw through the joint just in case. Also as advertised, it will bond skin instantly.
