World War Z - 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray [4K UHD]

I never read the novel, World War Z, by Max Brooks. Brad Pitt, however, must be a zombie fan because he bought the movie rights in 2007, which was way before The Walking Dead appeared on AMC television. It took Pitt five years to make the film at a cost of $190 million dollars. The movie has internationally grossed over $540 million. It broke even. It didn’t make a profit. A film supposedly has to make three times its cost to break even, which is divided amongst the studios, the distributors and the theater chains. Now, because I was unable to see the Blu-Ray edition, which was the extended version of the film with a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff on it, I had to settle for the theatrical version on a regular DVD. Surprisingly, considering all the negative reviews, I actually found the movie to be understandable and very entertaining. In fact, I was glued to the television set for the entire length of the film. For me, Brad Pitt is now the king of zombie movies. The film pretty much starts right into the action with Pitt (an ex-United Nations investigator) and his family getting caught in a traffic jam in the city of Philadelphia. The zombie epidemic has already spread from Europe to the United States with blinding-like speed (in fact it only takes twelve seconds for a dead person to change into a killing zombie). Brad’s character, Gerry Lane, calls his friend at the United Nations so he and his family can be air-lifted out of the city. This does happen, but only after being chased by a horde of zombies to a roof top in downtown Philly. The catch, however, is that If Brad wants his family to be protected, he has to do what the military tells him, which is to fly into Russia and try to find a cure for the decease. This is the rest of the movie. Pitt flies to Soviet Union and then to Israel and then to an outpost where the most infamous deceases known to mankind are studied. Is a cure eventually found for the humans still alive? You have to see the movie, but a sequel is already in the works. Let me tell you that these zombies aren’t slow walkers. These handsome fellows can move fast and they take no prisoners. The special effects of the movie are awesome in my opinion as thousands of zombies pile on top of each other to climb over the wall surrounding Jerusalem. Remember, zombies can’t be killed, unless you shoot them in the head. I certainly enjoyed the pacing of the movie. It didn’t really give you time to think, but I liked what Brad Pitt’s character was able to discover and the shootouts with the zombies. A female Israeli commando is bitten in the arm, and Brad cuts the arm off without any hesitation, leaving her alive, but with a stub. Fortunately, this woman is one tough cookie and can shoot with accurately with just one arm. Being a big fan of the early George Romero zombie movies and The Walking Dead television series, I found myself impressed with this film and Brad Pitt’s acting. The whole movie more or less is on his shoulders, and he carries the weight without any problems, displaying his ultimate skills as a truly excellent actor. He makes this movie happen, and you believe in him and his love for his family. Mireille Enos (she stars in the TV series, The Killing) is the perfect actress for his wife in the movie. If Angelina Jolie had been in it, you would have expected her to go after the zombies and kick some real butt. Not so with Mireille. She’s the perfect mother hen who watches out for her children, praying her husband will return alive to protect them. I can’t comment on the extended version of the film on Blu-Ray, or the extras that are on the disc. I do want to see them, but I need to get a Blu-Ray television for that. All in all, I was surprised at how much I loved this movie. I want to watch it again and see if I feel the same way. Other people have told me that I’m crazy; but hey, the movie did make over 500 million at the Box Office, so somebody must have liked it besides me.

I read the book World War Z and found it to be very nice. If I remember correctly, World War Z came from the Zombie Survival Guide which are both written by Max Brooks. If you read the Zombie Survival Guide first, the best part was at the end when Max Brooks explains various times in history when zombie incidents occurred. The stories followed to the letter how one is suppose to survive according to what Max Brooks written in the first segment of the guide. Later Max Brooks released a separate World War Z novel that is based on interview-like stories from various survivors who explain how the war unfolded and how humanity came out on top. The book is written in a way that takes a journalism approach to what unfolded as told by various people who participated in the event. It's so well written that it's very hard to tell if Max Brooks is actually writing about a real event, or if it's fictional. With that in mind, I wasn't sure what to expect with the movie World War Z. The movie concentrates on a single man and his effort to figure out what causes the epidemic and how to shut it down. His reason behind figuring this out is a bit selfish as he wants to protect his family and don't want him and his family losing the protection of staying on a aircraft carrier. His search goes around the world from Korea, to Israel, to Wales, and various other places. The point is this movie attempts to show a worldwide issue with zombies. The movie plays out surprisingly well. I personally found it good. Other zombie movies tend to focus in on gore and a group of survivors who kill off large population of undead. This movie isn't quite so in following that typical formula. It does have its gore moments, but the reaction from people tend to be a bit more realistic. Matter of fact, Brad Pitt's character is extremely vulnerable and he doesn't really even know how to fight them and many times he comes close and he's tries to avoid them as best as possible. The movie has some surprising support characters. When Brad Pitt first arrived to Korea, he met with some Army Rangers and Navy SEALs special forces to guard him. They were quite well done and while watching, it felt intense as they combat the zombies and attempted to get Brad Pitt's character airborne. I felt in some cases too many of the characters bravely gave up their lives. In just a span of five minutes, two special forces operator in Korea just knowingly killed themselves with little reaction or remorse from anyone. My favorite support character would have to been Daniella Kertesz's character who is a Israel security force. I felt they made an excellent pair and felt their relationship to aid each other was very sincere. Not to mention she was the only character that survived being with Brad Pitt the longest to the end. Overall the movie was surprisingly good. The ending was so-so but overall the entire movie had a nice touch and I felt that it didn't fall victim to the typical zombie movies that plague the market today of just blasting away at everything and everyone and somehow surviving in the end after a few of the party member being brutally eaten. The movie doesn't quite follow the book as the book isn't based on any single character but as a whole. I felt the movie sort of followed the book lead in that it provided a lot of different support characters each fighting off their own war against the zombies. Overall the movie is a good spin off of the book and I personally enjoyed it. Highly recommend watching it.

Don't let the hokey title make you skip this. I near;y did and I now know what I would have missed. After a mini-pandemic like C/19 it ratchets up your nerves just that much more, not just the terrifying hoards of crazed zombies but the whole idea of where pandemics begin, how do we find them, who in WHO puts together the brains, and who in government authority in all countries manages the panic and anger and does the dirty work? This is an education in unknown diseases with unknown starts and unknown cures and should be seen by everyone studying disease, medicine and crowd management (in a zombie apocalypse way) because we saw unreasonable people react to just wearing face masks and getting vaccinated if it were the Z there could have been this and RFK, Jr. an Oz would be zombies.

WORLD WAR Z certainly got a lot of unjustified bad press before its release. Over budget and full of delays, it seemed like a pet project of a major star who had gone overboard. I hesitated to see the film and now can happily say the critics were wrong. The zombies are at it again and this time they are in every corner of the world. No place is safe, especially large cities. These zombies are new and improved. They are almost super zombies who can jump and soar through the sky yet as with all zombies, there are a few constants. A shot to the head is the only sure way to kill a zombie. If a zombie bites you, you become one of them within seconds. Zombies meander without any purpose other than to create more zombies. Got that? Then follow along. WORLD WAR Z has a brief set-up. Gerry Lane (Brad Pitt) has left his job at the United Nations and is a stay-at-home dad for his two adorable daughters and loving wife. It's a tranquil and happy, if uneventful, existence. I was never clear as to what his exact job was at the U.N. and why he left. It seems like he was some sort of investigator in dangerous war zones. It only takes a few minutes for the action to begin and things get intense and terrifying. WORLD WAR Z has begun without any sort of advance warning. Lane is called back to work for the U.N. to uncover the origin of the zombie plague, but first he and his family have to be rescued from the zombies and taken to aircraft carriers far offshore. The action is intense for a while and it does raise questions of what will governments do when the zombies attack. How will the uninfected be rescued and where will they go? The decision is made to send Lane to find Patient Zero and where the pathogen originated. The journey starts in South Korea and Lane is always one step ahead of hoards of attacking zombies. There are plenty of special effects and action in WORLD WAR Z but it almost seems less about the zombies than about inter-personal relationships and how one lives through a zombie attack. The zombie pathogen spreads quickly across through the globe thanks to air travel..though if a person bit by a zombie becomes a zombie in seconds, we see how soon everyone in a plane becomes infected so who ends up flying and landing the plane? We can overlook some flaws in the script and just enjoy a good zombie movie. Brad Pitt has certainly grown up through the years and no longer is just another pretty face. In fact, Pitt looks aged and weathered in WORLD WAR Z. Are those wrinkles around his eyes created through make-up or is Pitt going natural? Pitt does a fine job as he tries to find the weak link in the zombie chain. Is there a vaccine that can save mankind or can the zombies be stopped. Rest assured that our hero won't give up. Lane travels to Israel where the government has been able to keep the zombies out. Jersusalem is even taking refugees until the zombies seem to work in unision to form human pyramids to scale walls. Thousands of zombies are on the attack in Jerusalem and it is pure chaos. Young Israeli solder Segen (played by a remarkable Daniella Kertesz) bravely fights the zombies until she is bit by one and Lane quickly acts to save her in a serious OUCH! moment. While watching the zombies in action in Jerusalem, Lane realizes the zombies avoid certain people. Those "healthy" individuals aren't attacked, and lane thinks he knows why, but he has to find a research facility to test his theory. Of course, that involves leaving Jerusalem and getting to another country by plane, but we know what can happen on a plane is just one crankly zombie stows away. All this adventure does make the movie fun and engaging. Although WORLD WAR Z follows the zombie routine seen in countless films and TV shows, it does breath a bit of fresh air into the genre. Fans of zombie films won't be disappointed and anyone who likes a sci-fi/action film will find lots to enjoy in WORLD WAR Z. Although it is far from perfect, WORLD WAR Z tries and succeeds in giving the viewer a lavish and thrilling zombie-fest.

Let's get one thing straight right off the bat: "World War Z" the movie bears no relation to "World War Z" the book except the title. So be it. "World War Z" the book is pretty much unfilmable as written. Great book, especially the audio version but that's another review. Other reviewers have critiqued the movie saying many parts are not plausible or don't make sense or just plain stupid. They don't mention the most implausible part which is that there are no such things as zombies. The movie is a thriller and it stars Brad Pitt. Thriller rules mean that there needs to be a hero. Pitt fills that role admirably without super hero heroics. He is very competent given his backstory but he is also an ordinary guy. He does a great job in the part. Let's face it, zombie fans may not dig that it's a PG-13 movie. Before I saw it I felt the same. I'm a big zombie fan in the George Romero tradition. I could not see how you could stay true to the genre in PG-13. WWZ is remarkably bloodless and there are no prolonged close-ups of flesh getting rendered and eaten. Regardless it is one edge of the seat movie. It has a bunch of intense, thrilling and scary set pieces. Starting in a traffic jam in Philly, moving on an apartment building in Newark, on to a remote base in Korea, then on to Jerusalem, mayhem on an airplane and finally a WHO facility in Wales. Non stop action with a few breaks with Pitt's movie family to let you catch your breath and to remind you of the stakes that Pitt's character faces. All in all a fine movie that gives its money's worth. This review is based on a 3D viewing in a theater with my daughter and watching it on demand. As with all movies of this type, it loses a little transferring from the big screen and I imagine the same is true for the DVD. Still, a rousing action movie well worth both the cost to see it and the time spent watching it.

Auch Marc Forster wusste, auf was er sich als Regisseur von -World War Z- einließ. Forster hat so wunderbare Filme wie -Drachenläufer oder Wenn Träume fliegen lernen- abgedreht, aber auch Streifen wie -Stay-, der mir nicht besonders gut gefallen hat. Forster hat seinen -World War Z- als klassischen Zombie-Stoff angelegt und auf die Filmplatte gebannt. Eigentlich hat er George Romeros Klassiker -Zombie- aus dem kleinen Kaufhaus in die große Welt geholt und das Ganze mit Wolfgang Petersens -Outbreak- gekreuzt. Herausgekommen ist ein spannender, harter, manchmal fast bedrohlich wirkender Thriller mit brillanten Animationen, einer hervorragenden Maske und einer einfachen, keiner besonderen Logik folgenden Story. Mit einem Brad Pitt in Bestform reicht das aus, um -World War Z- zu einem sehr kurzweiligen, mitreissenden Film zu machen. Mir hat's jedenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Gerry Lane ist eigentlich Hausmann. Doch die Dinge ändern sich. Eine Pandemie breitet sich aus. Menschen, die sich in Zombies verwandelt haben, greifen andere Menschen an und infizieren. sie. Innerhalb von Tagen ist die Bevölkerung der Welt auf dem Rückzug und in Gefahr. Gerry muss mit seiner Frau Karen(Mireille Enos) und den Kindern fliehen. Er findet Zuflucht auf einem Schiff der US-Marine. Gerry soll als ehemaliger UN-Experte herausfinden, wo der Virus entstand und wie man ihn bekämpfen kann. Dazu wird er auf eine Mission nach Südkorea geschickt. Gerry richtet dort wenig aus, doch er findet eine Spur, die nach Jerusalem führt. In Israel, das sich der Invasion bisher erfolgreich entgegen stellen konnte, kommt Gerry langsam weiter. Aber dann fällt auch Jerusalem. Zusammen mit der Soldatin Segen(Daniella Kertesz) kann Gerry entkommen. Sein Ziel ist eine W.H.O. Klinik in Großbritannien. Als Gerry und Segen dort ankommen, scheint der Kampf gegen den Virus aussichtsloser als jemals zuvor. Aber ein Gerry Lane gibt niemals auf... Ja, das war Actionkino vom Feinsten. Allein die Animationen der Zombie-Menschenmengen reichten bei mir schon aus, um mich von Marc Forsters Arbeit zu überzeugen. Die Anfangssequenzen des Films wirkten überaus real, Brad Pitts Schauspiel sorgt ebenfalls dafür, dass man sich schnell im Leben der Lanes zurechtfindet. Ich bin ja noch immer ein großer Fan von George Romeros -Zombie(Originaltitel: Dawn of the Dead)-. In diesem Film materialisiert sich, jedenfalls für mich, die "Film-Zombie-Geschichte". Ein Plot dieser Art funktioniert heute immer noch. Marc Forster beweist das mit seinem -World War Z- eindrucksvoll. Dabei ist der Film nichts für ganz schwache Nerven, Forster schafft es in einigen Szenen einen wirklich heftigen Spannungsaufbau zu produzieren. -World War Z- wird von den Kritikern unterschiedlich gesehen. Ich weiß nicht, welche Ansprüche einige Rezensenten an den Film stellen. Ich wollte mich von einem Actionfilm gut unterhalten lassen. Das hat -World War Z- ganz locker hinbekommen. Einziges minimales Manko vielleicht: Von der Tonspur hätte ich mir ein bisschen mehr erwartet. Das war's dann aber auch schon. Aber sie wissen ja: Lassen sie die Leute reden, was sie wollen. Wenn sie wissen wollen, ob der Film etwas für Sie ist, probieren sie es einfach selbst aus...

What an absolutely fantastic movie! I remembered this coming out at the cinema but, not being a fan of the zombie genre - in fact, I loathe it, it's dull and stupid! - I didn't really take all that much notice. But it was always there, niggling at the back of my mind. So, on a whim, I decided to take a punt - it was only a fiver, so, not that much of a risk - and get it on DVD. Wow! Am I glad I did! I can't stop watching it. No blood; no gore. No ridiculously un-scary zombies shambling about at minus two miles per hour. Everything I hate about 'proper' zombie movies is gloriously absent from World War Z. And in its place we have one of the most epic, large-scale actioners I've ever seen. Never mind being TOLD by the characters that the world is overrun by the undead as they valiently battle a small contingent in a shopping mall or something, in this movie we get to SEE the world overrun. The opening Philadelphia set piece is amazing. The Jerusalem one is just plain addictive. The only minor gripe I might have is with the third act. Usually action movies crank UP towards the end. This one cranks DOWN. After the mind-blowing action of acts one and two the third act is more about tension. It's not a problem. It's just different. Seriously, don't do what I did and let the online reviews put you off. If you like gore and brain-eating, then, admittedly this probably isn't for you. But if you're more mature than that and enjoy a good story excellently told then take a chance on this one. You won't be disappointed.

Très belle édition , L'image est magnifique , de très beaux constrates ,une belle définition , qui rendent honneur au support HD Blu-ray. Voici donc l'édition limitée , boîtier métal contenant 3 disques : Le blu- ray 3D ( que je n'ai pas visionné , car n'étant pas vraiment fan de la 3D cinéma actuelle),Le film en DVD , ET SURTOUT LE FILM EN VERSION LONGUE , en Blu-Ray 2D . J'ai aimé la bande son , car elle est très équilibrée , entre les basses , les médiums les aigus ; d'un rendu très naturel ,d'un bout à l'autre : entre les différents Bruits , les tirs , les scènes d'actions,les moments plus calmes , les dialogues , la bande son est remarquablement bien sentie . une grande sobriété au niveau de la bande originale , tout au long du film ,la priorité étant ainsi donnée , aux ambiances , et aux sons des scènes en elles mêmes , tirs ,rafales , dialogues , bruissements . Tout est dans l'ambiance ... Marc Forster , autant le dire tout de suite , s'en sort très bien, faire un film de genre , "film de zombies " et dans le même temps !!! ... totalement renouveler la façon !!! ... Le processus narratif est rondement mené !!! ... ,brillant panaché , entre un film d'aventure action , et un "survival horror" . Notez aussi , que Marc Forster , a su aussi très subtilement mettre en avant des aspects très bien élaborés , par rapport aux univers narratifs et visuels des jeux vidéos , auxquels , il rend un hommage certain et totalement évident !!!... et dont il s'inspire aussi , mais , ... sans non plus , ... oublier , une seule seconde , la force nécéssaire de la théatralisation , des évènements au niveau de la mise en images , laquelle est , et demeure très superbement : d'ordre majestueusemment cinématographique . l'ensemble est très savamment dosé , sur la base d'un scénario simple , direct . Une mise en scène de Marc Forster qui s'avère incontestablement brillante , et à bien des égards fort ingénieuse . (Tant l'exercice est difficile). Les éléments qui permettent au héro de se donner une chance de survie , sont remarquablement mis en évidence , bien plus que dans d'autres productions de films , de genres . Les éléments liés à la survie en terrains hostiles , sont traités et abordés avec grande franchise et sans la moindre fanfaronnade . le scénario n'est pas si consensuel que cela ; la survie est tout autant liée à des éléments multiples , qu'à des situations types , tout autant qu'elle est une question d'aptitude et de ressenti de la personne . Sentir , pressentir , anticiper ... éventuellement ... ... certaines situations et problématiques. la amateurs de jeux vidéo de "survival horror" ne seront pas déroutés , par les funestes et possibles et classiques erreurs tragiques d'éventuels héros et de ces habituels "ballets" ... ou quoique l'on fasse on s'en sort ... entre survie et Zombies , ici chaque erreur d'évaluation , se paie au prix fort ... , une fraction de seconde et c'est foutu . A bine des égards ce film est impitoyable , tout comme l'indique le dialogue entre le scientifique virologiste , et Brad Pitt , ( dans l'avion ). Brad Pitt sera attentif au moindre de ses mots , essayant de comprendre . le film n'est a aucun moment naïf , ni n'est fleur bleu pour un sou . la survie requiert souvent de ne pas négliger certains aspects , et rien n'est garanti !!!! Quel que soit la situation, le miracle ne vient pas comme ça . les facultés humaines comptent ... la mémoire , la solidarité , l'entre aide ,... les réflexes ...l'intelligence ... De nombreuses scène sont marquantes et nous donne à réfléchir . la scène du supermarché est exemplaire ... dévoilant tout le côté tragique et amer ... de la situation , .. le TON EST DONNE , ce sera dur , très très dur . les scènes dans l'institut ... beaucoup de soin a été apporté à l'ensemble et le travail de Marc Forter est dynamique , et d'une remarquable virtuosité visuelle , avec une grande élégance de forme et de style . Les mouvements de caméras et cadrages , tant en plans larges qu'en plans serrés , sont d'une précision époustouflante , ... "c'est de la haute voltige " . Les scènes d'actions sont très vives et extraordinairement lisibles !!! J'aime le sens de la Photo (lumières etc ...) de Marc Forster , très indicative , très précise , très esthétique , elle raconte énormément !!! La photographie est réellement de qualité de celle qui pourrait se rapprocher de celle que l'on trouve chez des réalisateurs tels Neil Jordan ( Entretien avec un vampire 1993 ) !! ( c'est un compliment !!! ) tout autant que l'on trouve une efficacité très directe à la Neil Marshall ( "Doomsday" 2007) , et une certaine emphase dans la narration ,(très agréablement perçue),comme elle existe ,encore à un degré plus élevé , bien évidemment , chez Edward Zwyck ( Glory 1989 , Le Dernier samourai 2002 ) . là ou Ridley Scott a malheureusement à mon sens , avec l'âge !! à pontifier , Un Marc Forster rend l'image hypersensible , lui permettant de raconter dynamiquement énormément de choses en des moments vifs et intenses . Une Image et tout de suite nous comprenons une situation , désespérée , et ce qu'il s'y passe . Beaucoup de la dimension narrative passe formidablement bien à l'écran . J'avais déjà apprécié le style Forster sur les deux premiers BOND !!! De l'ère Bondienne de Mr Daniel Craig . dans cet exercice difficile de renouveler pour le grand public , le film de genre , c'est une franche réussite . "le dénouement" est remarquable ... ... Un Film qu'il convient incontestablement de voir en sa version longue , car descendre en dessous des deux heures serait dommage ... le film prend ainsi le temps de mettre en place des éléments de narrations important . La réflexion n'est pas absente de ce film à gros budget , qu'il serait dommage de ne comprendre qu'au troisième degré. mention spéciale à toutes les scènes d'action ""magnifiquement"" filmées et regorgeant d'une incroyable dynamique et qui , au demeurant , sont tout à fait crédibles et dramatiques tout autant . le film est , pourquoi le dire autrement ? dur ! Sans aucune concessions , mais il semble bien que se soit le style très incisif et tout compte fait encore "Bondien" de Marc Forster qui renforce encore cette sensation. ... après les grands classiques des 60's et 70's ... après L'armée des mort de Zack Snyder , ... après 28 semaines après avec robert Carlyle et le formidable Jeremy Renner ... le "I'm a legend" de 2007 avec Will Smith , ... voici donc , le film de Zombie , qui sort du style super série B , pour s'incrire , dans la grande tradition hollywoodienne , d'un cinéma grand public et rejoignant ainsi les films à grands spectacles , ... et ce , avec un Brio , tout à fait remarquable . A voir et aussi à revoir et à méditer,le film est intelligent . film dur , sans concessions, ou l'aspect réflexion est presque omniprésent ... un film ultra dynamique , qui ne laisse pas indifférent . Brad Pitt est tout à fait remarquable . la sobriété et la simplicité directe de son jeu d'acteur , tout autant douce et affective , que forte et déterminée , nous amène a nous intéresser à cet homme et à son devenir . Une très belle prestation , dont j'ai vraiment l'impression que celà faisait assez longtemps , qu'il avait besoin d'un rôle sans "frou frous" , ni exagérations aucune. A aucun moment , l'acteur ne surévalue ou surjoue , très intuitif et sensible , Brad Pitt est magistral de naturel et sens de l'à propos , amenant une touche subtile et personnel de par sa prestation impeccable à cette histoire,qui n'est aucunement mièvre ou mince . Naturel de bouts en bouts , la prestation de Brad Pitt, sur les quelques 20 dernières minutes , est absolument hors classe et exceptionnelle ... regardez le ... sortir de la pièce( je ne dévoile rien )... ( vous saurez cet instant ...) ... Un film à voir ( attention certaines scènes sont difficiles , pour un public qui ne serait pas averti , par rapport aux films de type ""survival horror"" ou d'actions en térrains difficiles . Un film à voir impérativement à mon sens dans sa VERSION LONGUE . Cette édition qui est superbe , et dont le boîtier est absolument magnifique est la seule qui à ma connaissance nous offre la possibilité de voir cette version longue de 123 minutes . Un vrai plaisir Cinéma ,et un plaisir de cinéphile aussi .

Really loved this movie it was clever a fresh for a zombie flick. It has the same level of intensity as 28 days/weeks later and reminded me of them in a few parts, particularly the start. Some parts slowed down a bit to catch up on plans and to catch your breath but when the action comes in just brace yourself, you don't have time to think. I remember sitting on my bed watching the zombies coming over the wall. I had my arms up beside my head and every single muscle in my body was like a rock. It really has you on edge because you cant help but imagine what you would do in that situation. The words "omg run ...get in get in, hurry up" were said multiple times during this movie. Some parts are so frantic and crazy you really don't know how they will get out of it. The part in Israel really impressed me, its amazing how much mayhem happens in a matter of seconds. The digital work don't in these scenes are something to behold, you actually think they are real bodies running around but they are actually all drawn. There are some very frustrating parts in it where ALL they had to do was to be quiet but there is always someone who wasn't watching where his weapon was or where he was standing on. I was screaming at the TV but I guess the audience should be grateful that they do screw up and get chased all over the place. Otherwise nothing would happen. But in reality you would do anything to make damn sure that you don't make a sound, since it will result in you getting torn to shreds. The zombies are quite frightening, not just because they are fast but just because of the way they behave. They kind of reminded me of how army ants cling to each other to create hills or bridges. Other times they seem to just fling each other into walls and cars or off buildings at high speed. They almost move as a single moving unit which has an amazing effect on screen and my jaw was just on the floor for some shots. When they descend on an area there are merely seconds to decide what to do. This reminds me very much of the zombies in 28 days later with much less mess (no projectile vomiting of blood) but just as twitchy. these zombies don't want to bash your face in they just want to infect you. Then they run off and grab another. Their eyes actually look dead (greyed out) and not bloodshot and their skin is dry and shrived (this makes sense if you don't have a pulse). This is not rage like in 28 days later, it is a full blown virus and there are some very good theory's on how these viruses behave in the bonus features. The zombies kind of represent a manifestation of that, once they infect the victim automatically looks for another host to infect. They are just so freaky and it take roughly 11 seconds for a victim to change once bitten. I would highly recommend this movie for a thrill and an intense ride. There is minimal blood and you don't really see anyone getting bitten up close. This movie works more on your nervous system, its very VERY tense in a lot of the scenes. Some are very claustrophobic, others show sheer scale with amazing ariel views of cities ect. full stars from me.

El steelbook está precioso y se siente de calidad, sin embargo solo viene en el idioma Inglés DTS-HD 5.1 y estéreo, no viene con ningún doblaje, para mí no está mal sinceramente pero siempre valoro el poder escoger el idioma (ojo en la publicación no se menciona pero para que lo tengas en cuenta) de igual manera muy feliz con la calidad del producto
