How easy are these to remove? I'm thinking of buying for an 11yr old who has to take her studs out in school.

it's fiddly & there's a definite knack to it so I would highly recommend LOTS of practice before even trying them in the ear. I panicked a couple of times when I couldn't remove them & of course you can't see what you are doing. However, it's worth the perseverance as now I can wear good studs that belonged to my mam with confidence that the backs won't get caught, come off & the earrings get lost. They previously just remained in a jewellery box as I was afraid to wear them. X

what are they made of? material?

They are made of plastic and metal, but very neat and easy to use, and you won’t lose your favourite earrings.

Do U know if these dig in if u lay on your side when in bed? Thinking of buying for my sis who is disabled and needs to lay on her side quite often.

I don't wear these when asleep, but I assume they could dig in. It's not the earring backs themselves, so much as the earring posts that I think would dig in. The posts of the earrings still come out of the back of these (just like with other types of back). Sorry not to be more help.

Will these work on lever back earings

You may be able to, but think it would be a bit fiddly, they are just to replace an ordinary butterfly back. But these really don't come off on their own.
