Cold Steel CS-KS-21CC: 2-in-1 Knife Sharpener

My new favorite sharpener. I bought this one as the inserts are triangular and clearly can be rotated when they wear, giving a much longer life. I have sharpened everything I can lay my hands on with this and it puts a very nice edge on a blade with the ceramic. Don’t push hard, gentle strokes and it will polish that blade better than I expected it to. It is very small and sometimes fiddly to hold, but that just means it is light and packs easily.

6 month review. So much better than other plastic knife sharpeners. My friatrations with the other ones was that after a few months of use, they become dull and worn out. This sharpener is different. It takes but a few minutes to rotate the ceramic inserts and you have a brand new sharpener! Voila! Great edge, razor sharp. Highly recommend.

This is great for forming a cutting edge on a roughed out long blade.

Not as heavy as I assumed but that's not a negative. It's metal and not plastic like so many others. Sharpens small blades well. Great for the truck, backpack, etc.

When you are hiking, ounces matter. This thing is very light but still does a good job sharing my knives. Make sure to set it on a flat spot and hold it in place as you draw the blade through. Is is just that easy to keep a knife sharp, without dragging around my other sharpeners.

this works and works well and fast but it does not last. the screws holding in the stones and metal stripped out within a couple weeks of use. granted im hard on items to test how reliable they are. this held up great to rough usage but the screws are a weak point in this item.

This sharpener is built well and the buys are replaceable. Small enough to fit in a pocket.
