Sturdier than you'd think.
Although I read through other(s) reviews prior to purchase, when the small/light weight package arrive & I began erecting it, my doubt level was fairly high. It was simpler to set up than the reviews had led me to believe but there again, I have been using camp chairs for some time. I asked jokingly for my friend to "spot me" when I first sat upon it. My fears were soon alleviated, I moved around a bit to get everything seated and It seems will be just what I was looking for. The literature does say it needs to be on level ground and I can see why. This may be a challenge as we frequently camp in mountains. I love that it has a good portion of mesh, my reason for shopping this model. It is easier to get out of than many chairs I have used, even being "armless". The corner points are stable enough to use arms to assist. Can't beat the price! Lightweight and splendid pack away case.

As advertised
Removed a star only because it blows over a bit easily, and although it didn't cause me an issue, it might be annoying and hard to deal with for other people. Otherwise, it looks, assembles, stores, and is just as useful as advertised.

Awesome all around chair!
Great all around lightweight chair for camping, concerts, sports and Comic Con! Looked at many chairs to determine what was going to work best for carrying around all day (so must be light and convenient to carry) and comfort while waiting in long line for hours to get wristbands. I bought this chair and another popular lightweight backpacking chair. Both chairs were very similar - close in weight (very lightweight), cost, similar measurements and features, and both were very easy and similar to setup. However, this was the right choice for me for several reasons:1) It is wider/roomier - I can fit my arms inside versus having to have them hang out of the chair plus lots of room to handle a wider posterior.2) This was sturdier in construction of the frame. It also has bigger feet and was more stable.3) More upright/less angled back so easier to get up and down - some people may have issues getting out of a chair that is angled back to far.4) Has a pillow to rest your head. The one negative (if you can call it that), is the bag it comes with is too big to attach to a backpack (versus the other chair). However, I plan on not using the bag and just putting the unassembled chair directly into my backpack as I will have room.I provided some photos of the chair and also the comparison between this chair (circled) and the other chair I bought too.Highly recommend!!

Love HITORHIKE products!
LOVING THIS GEAR! Not Bragging just Shouting out!I am a 27yr Seasoned vet with the US FOREST SERVICE. Spent all my carrier as a wildfire fireman. The youth of my carrier as a Hotshot. Now that I am a bit aged; yet still working on a Wildland Fire engine. My point! All the years of sleeping on the ground was just to rough on the body!I read some intense reviews about companies and there products. In time I bought the HITORHIKE cot just maybe 2 years ago. I am soooo happy with the beating, destruction and durability I have put on my cot. Basically between home, family and kid usage not to forget that my line of work is not the most conducive to solid level ground, temperature, Mother Nature and so much negative conditions and environmental abuses and all i can say is WOW! My goal is to get more cots for camping with my family because I am pleased With this product and well mine smells like a Forest Fire now. Im happy to say I am Very pleased! So this review is about that i just bought my second product the camp chair with the high riser head rest (not sure the exact name) did a test run and its nice. I don't know this company at all but for my first ever personally purchased / owned cot and now camp chair HITORHIKE earned my business.O! 2 more thing: setting up and breaking down takes a Montana Minute but now that I have the hang of the cot set up i can set / pitch it / break down and roll up in a New York Minute.Second works awesome with a therma-rest. If your taller than 5’9” i don't have an answer for ya sorry. Seems like 6’ may be just right there. But if your asleep and it’s comfortable. Who cares right. Have a great day~Mj~

Pain to pack back into the bag
It's ok. It's comfortable even for a taller person it's just a pain to pack and unpack into it's bag.

Good Chair for the Price
I was searching for compact chairs that I could just keep in a vehicle to use while picnicking and traveling. I am 250lbs and needed something sturdy and I also wanted something that sat a little higher than a normal backpacking chair. This chair seemed to be the only one that had everything I was looking for. I got one as a gift and after getting my hands on it, I liked it enough to buy a second one.My initial impressions are that this is a quality chair. The poles are sturdy, and the seat material is heavy duty. As is common with chairs of similar design, the weak link is the injection molded joint connectors for the poles. These joint connectors seem to be as well made as some of the other, more expensive, chairs I have used. When I put my 250lbs self in the chair, it does not feel like the chair is going to break or give out. Keep in mind however, that these types of chairs, by necessity, have some give and play in them and may feel a little loose to people that have not used similar chairs before.I do think that the size and weight are too big backpacking, but for car camping or a short hike and picnic, would work. I plan to use these chairs regularly and if my initial assessment of the chair changes, I will update my review accordingly.

They don’t hold up..,
I bought 3 of these chairs way back about 5 years ago. I used them only a few times and was impressed. Recently I took one out to use and was shocked at the condition after having been stored in a closet. They were fraying and breaking. I contacted the company and they told me they were only made for short term use and basically they were not going to do anything. I would avoid …
