Better than the original.
I have a 4 year old Summer Waves 10' pool. This larger pump/filter fit the main opening perfectly and I used the existing discharge flow inside the pool with the new hose adapter. Water spins in the pool and much bigger filter cartridge works great.

Excellent pool pump repacemant
I am so pleased with this purchase. I was setting up my pool for the summer and was ready to go and the pump would not work. I looked online and this was exactly what I was looking for at a good and fair price. I hade it replaced and going within 15 minutes. Thank you Amazon for constantly coming through. Oh and I ordered it on Friday and got it the next day. I was swimming on on a sunny hot Saturday.

Stopped working after 3 days.
I bought this because I saw all the other great reviews. Very easy install and it was great for the first 3 days and then completely stopped working. Won't turn on. I just wanted to exchange it, but when I called Funsicle support, they said one of the troubleshooting steps before they could reolace it was to take out the motor!!! No, thank you. I've only had this for a couple of weeks. Thankfully I'm within the return window. So annoyed with this because I threw out my old skimmer and now won't have a replacement for the pool. I would've kept it if they had better customer support.

The timer is problematic
The pump is stronger than my last one so noisier. The timer can only be set to hours on, not to actual time of day. So once my warranty is off, I will remove the timer, add a regular 3 prong plug, and then run it with a proper 24 hour timer. The pump is very strong, and seems to be really moving the water well. I’m happy with it.
