Bar is heavy, plates are light
Plates are more decorative, the bar itself is the heaviest so the weight cannot be changed much.For reference: for a 1 year 9 month old toddler it was difficult for him to try to lift it overhead with just the largest plate on.

Cute item for kids to use while parents work out. The end pieces are very loose and my son ends up taking them off. Be careful they don't end up in your kids mouth as they fold up small, very easily. Other than that they are very durable.
