Excellent
Truly delicious. It takes longer to cook so make sure it's done. If you cook it al dente it's best pasta ever. Takes over 15 minutes in a boil to be ready. Close to 20 minutes. Super high quality

Pasta doesn't have to make you bloated!
Great product and no bloat as it's made in Italy. Cooking time is a bit longer for some pasta shapes due to the process, and costly as it's imported- but worth it. I'm just thankful that I can obtain imported items that adhere to stricter guidelines than we allow in USA and take the health of the product into consideration. Great pasta. Nice not to feel bloated afterwards.

Too special to use
I have had this pasta sitting around for a month now because for the life of me I couldn't figure out how to use it. The noodles themselves are huge, so I was not sure what the ideal usage scenario would be. At $10/lb, it felt like I needed to do something remarkably special with it, and I couldn't make any decisions with that kind of pressure!Even just looking at the pasta itself, one can see that it has wonderful tooth to it. It does a great job holding on to a very hearty sauce (and given its size, a hearty sauce would be most appropriate, anyway). I love that it has only 2 ingredients -- durum wheat semolina flour and water. It's super fancy that it is imported from Italy and I'm impressed that almost none of the noodles broke in the shipping process. The cook time took me a good 3-5 minutes to find -- it is printed very small in the lower left corner in gold writing like the rest of the packaging, but I did eventually find it: 18 minutes.I have no specific complaints, so I'll go ahead and give it 5 stars, but bear in mind that it is VERY expensive (as far as pasta goes) and it is also very large, so you are pretty limited in how you can use it. Make sure you have a specific usage in mind before you purchase. If you are a casual pasta enjoyer, this is not for you. I mean, it's not going to be a bad experience by any means, but you're cracking a walnut with a sledgehammer. On the other hand, if you are serving someone you want to impress and you have a worthy sauce to serve it with, this is the pasta you want to deliver your impressive culinary creation. Use it wisely.Country of origin: Made in Italy

Shipping
Since this is expensive Pasta to begin with I would have thought it would have been packaged a little better than one of the plastic shipping bags. Box was crushed and I'm sure the contents as well although have not opened.

Perfect Chew
The box for this pasta says that it cooks in 18 minutes, which seemed far too long to me. Wouldn't that make it mushy? I boiled the pasta and tested it as time went on and it was al dente at exactly 18 minutes! Despite the long boil, it has a good chewy texture of al dente pasta without tasting raw. I made it with garlic, olive oil, a French vinegar, and salt. With just that, it was delicious.I only knock a star off because a number of noodles had second noodles stuck inside that were broken. If I was making a presentable dish for someone, those parts would need to be scrapped. Still, the number of intact noodle is still decent for a shipped product.

Good tasting, fresh pasta
My husband is Italian and very (very) fussy about his pasta. Last night he cooked this package of MARULO pasta and declared it quite good and tasty. He also declared it "authentic." After the pasta met his approval (even his praise), he served it with his homemade sauce, and we totally enjoyed the sumptuous meal. Our pasta arrived safely, well packaged, and no issue there. It comes in a very fancy box with gold paper on the inside. I couldn't help but wonder if the company could save money by putting it all in a plainer cardboard box. Not my call, of course, but given the high price tag on this pasta, that might be one way to make this more generally affordable. One more thing--he cooked it per package instructions at 19 minutes and the resulting pasta was quite al dente. So unless you want your pasta al dente, cook it a tad longer that the directions. That said, al dente appears the favorite way to cook and serve great pasta. So, yes, a good, fresh, authentic, tasty pasta, we enjoyed it, but a tad expensive for us to indulge again.

Versatile tubular pasta is bronze die cut in Italy
Marulo, Paccheri Lisci, Bronze Die Cut, Artisan Italian Pasta is a product of Campania Italy. It is well presented in a carton with a sealed plastic bag inside. This Durum Semolina pasta is crafted in large tubes which work very well either for stuffing or for a variety of thick sauce dishes. The cooking time varies depending on the end use. I prefer it to be a bit more al dente when stuffing them. This is an excellent premium pasta that holds its shape and works well in various recipes. It makes a very satisfying and delicious pasta dish.
