Book review
Iβm four books in and Carissa has wowed me yet again. This universe and its stories just keep getting better and better, the more I read them. And the astonishingly good thing is that itβs not all based on just a couple of characters and we get to know new characters and stories without any repetition of personalities. All characters are distinct and unique.I loved the leads of this book, Atrius and Sylina are my favourite couple yet. The way they complement each other is just gorgeous and their chemistry is off the charts. You want it you get it; forbidden romance, enemies to lovers, slow burn, morally grey characters and the whole sent to end him but fell in love fiasco and I ate it all up.I need to read The Fallen and The Kiss of Dusk now.

Carissa Broadbent never disappoints! ππ€π»β¨
Sylina was taken from the streets as an orphan and is turned into a assassin in the service of the Archassen, a cult devoted to the principle of the Goddess of Fate. And for this life, all she had to do was give up her life, her freedom, her identity, and even her eyesight. When Sylina comes across Atrius, a brutal vampire soldier, Sylina immediately wants to kill him. She soon gets a new mission: inflitrate Atrius's army, earn his trust, and kill him. But as Sylina finds herself in her enemy's camp, she realises they do share a common ground in their hatred towards the cruel king of Glaea. Sylina is meant to betray the vampire conquerer but the more time she spends in the enemy territory, the more her vows to her goddess comes in danger, and so does her heart! This was 5th Carissa Broadbent book and also the 5th book I read in the Nyaxia series, and to say I am obsessed would be an understatement. While this is not my favourite of the lot in Nyaxia series, it is still such a solid standalone romantasy! The world building is, as usual, fantastic, the characters are complex, the plot is action packed, and the chemistry if off charts!Atrius is clearly a morally grey anti hero and I loved his back story! It was so well done and gave a peek in the House of Blood, which I cannot wait to see more of in the future books. Sylina is also such a fierce, confident and brave fmc who had me captivated from the first chapter. The book is a complete slow burn with some great chemistry and two characters who are perfect for each other. I ate this book up and got so attached to these characters that I now fear their safety in the rest of the books, because if something happens to them, I will riot π. These characters have just the sweetest, quietest sort of love story and I lived for itπThe last few chapters were so action packed, I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I did not see the plot twist coming at all and loved how everything was resolved at the end! This is truly a memorable read for me and I cannot wait to see what this series has in store for us next!π€π»πππππ/5Thank you @panmacmillanindia for having me on tour for this book π₯°
