Great value
Recently moved back to California after being on the east coast and the week I got back there was an earthquake. This quickly reminded me that (1) there are earthquakes and (2) I am unprepared if there was ever a true emergency. In the past I had made my own bags but with my busy schedule I decided to just buy one already put together. This bag went above and beyond any bag I have made in the past and is such a great value! I am a nurse and avid hiker so to the bag I added of course a few more first aid kit supplies (which there was room for in the first aid kit box) as well as a Sawyer mini water filtration system. I also liked that they added the list of personal items you should add to your bag which is helpful! Adding some clothes and the other items was a bit of a tight squeeze but after repacking it a few times it all fit! I highly suggest buying this bag for any kind of emergency! All the products inside were of good quality as well including the flashlight. Their website also has alot of good information on emergency preparedness that I found helpful to read and I like that you can register the bag and they will alert you when things expire or need to be replaced like the food items. Overall amazing product and I plan to buy another one for my car.

Great bag for city folk
Great bag to have in an emergency. It’s got all the basics to likely keep you alive for 3 days in an emergency like a fire or a earthquake or hurricane. I really like the labeled and waterproof organizational bags, I think it beats having to rummage through a stuffed backpack. Pros: -The gear is generally of really good quality. It is quite comprehensive, especially the sanitation kits, and the lighting/communications bag. -More water than most competitor brands offer in a to-go bag. Cons: - bright red backpack would draw attention to your gear in an emergency, might increase your chances of being the target of theft or a mugging in a mass emergency where people may get desperate. -Needs even more water. Unless you think you’d be comfortable having 16 ounces of water a day for 3 days, you’ll definitely want to add a big water bottle to this bag. -the tiny bodywash soap leaked a bit, not a big deal but they should change that item. Overall I’d still give the kit 5 stars since it really comes with almost everything you’d need in an emergency to stay alive in some kind of comfort. Keep it in your car or by the door.

Great peace of mind in a backpack!
I bought Complete Earthquake Bags for each of my two adult children who live in L.A. and San Francisco. As a Dad, I had been bugging them for years to put some emergency supplies aside. And for years they promised to do it, and of course they never got around to it. Then I saw this bag and was very impressed by how complete and well thought-out it is... Not just the supplies, but well organized and labeled, with instructions. The kids are wowed and grateful, and we're all relieved to know they are so well prepared for emergency!

Quality Contents, Bag's Zipper leaves much to be desired
This backpack came with all the contents, as listed. Everything seems high quality, especially for something that will hopefully be sitting, unused until the perishables expire or things start to degrade. My only real complaint is the quality of the backpack, specifically the zipper. The fabric itself seems fine, not super substantial, but as I feared, the zipper is a big problem on my backpack. I can only get the zipper to close fully by zipping in one direction, otherwise the pull comes off rail. It has two pulls, so it should be capable of zipping to the bottom right or left of the pack. I'm left to believe the zipper is just poor quality. The backpack wasn't bulging and the contents weren't obstructing the zipper when I gave its first zip-up. I had to resort to zipping the previously un-used pull from the bottom of one side, over to the other end to secure the pack again. If sewing is in your skillset, replacing the whole zipper seems like a viable option to guarantee the durability of the bag, especially in an emergency as intended.

It comes in handy.
I purchased this during the start of the covid pandemic. It came in handy. Please be aware that the water and food stuffs expire within a couple of yrs, unlike some other kits on the market.

Very complete and well thought out
There isn’t much more one would need in here if the worst happened. This disaster preparedness kit/bag has all the necessities. Mine is for 2 people. It is sold in size of how many individuals will be using it. It saved us from going shopping for all these things and putting it together ourselves. You may be able to make your own if you prefer. A trip to the Army-Navy store would have many of these items. The only thing omitted are some writing implements that the seller indicated would be arriving at a later date. We have ours stored in our garage. They also recommend you write down personal information, insurance and telephone numbers you might need, such as physicians, a list of meds you take and any health issues, copies of passports, etc; and add cash. ATM’s may not be working after an earthquake. Start a personal emergency fund now if you haven’t already and add a little to it weekly or monthly. You may need it.

Stuffed with important items for an emergency
I was very impressed with the amount of emergency supplies crammed into this bag! All that was listed was included. This might be tricky (and obvious) to drag around if you needed to leave during an emergency, but I appreciate all of the supplies and how they’re organized.

This has everything you might need in an emergency all in an easy to store backback.
I am particularly impressed with the Flashlight that is included. It is small and yet has the AM/FM radio and you can charge your phone with it. Everything important is included. I purchased this for my own work vehicle to take the p0lace of a giant survival bag that doesn't have near the stuff in it that this backpack does and the backpack cost a quarter of the price. I'm going to order seven more so that all the work vehicles for my crew have this and then I will personally order one for myself. It would be nice to be able to order just what is inside the backpack, all as one package. I have a go-bag at home that I would like to use but I don't seem to be making the time to buy all the individual things to put in it.
