Work as advertised
We have somewhat high nitrates in our tap water, so have a very hard time controlling nitrates in our 60 gallon aquarium. These baskets do exactly what I wanted them for and the price was good. I've tried putting pothos in the aquarium previously, but our Buenos Aires Tetras munch all the roots within 1-2 days. These baskets seem to be working to protect the roots and hold the plants in place. I have a rimmed tank, so needed to use the included suction cups, which are holding well. My first attempt to stick the baskets to the back wall of the tank didn't work, but pushing a little harder has resulted in a nice stick for the past several days. So far I've put 4 large pothos starts (about 1 foot long with large root system) into 2 of the baskets. I'll monitor my nitrates over the next few weeks, and if still increasing, will add another basket once my plants are big enough to take more cuttings. Update 1/31/24 - The pothos are working well to control nitrates. The suction cups on these aren't great, and I've had the cages fall off several times. One of the cages is particularly problematic, and it could be due to its proximity to the filter outlet. I find if I don't get the cages back up within 24 hours, the Buenos Aires Tetras will eat the unprotected root balls. The pothos don't seem to bothered when this happens, and once protected go right back to pushing out roots. If these continue to fall off every few weeks, I'll revise my rating down to 3 stars.

Sleek design, will fit any aquarium. 10/10
Arrived on time and is very sturdy. Great value for the money. Also a nice touch is the extra clips and suction cups so it will work for any aquarium. Sleek design so won’t take up much space. Perfect and functional.

Suction holders are a bit weak.
Don’t use the suction holders for turtle tanks. It will not hold. Turtles will pull it down. Other than that! 😂 Works as intended. Perfect for a fish aquarium.

Love these! We have giant cichlids who don't appreciate plants. This solves the problem
I bought a spider lily and something else from the pond store; 2 small plants were easily divided into 8 different plants; I used a plain paper towel to line the baskets because I was using the Fluval fishtank soil in the baskets; the baskets sit on the rim of the tank in the back. We have these on the backs of our 75s; one has a 5 year old Jack Dempsey and the other has a 3 year old albino Oscar and his buddy the giant Pleco; both tanks have nice SunSun cannister filters but with the addition of the water plants on top you just get that really crisp, clean, gorgeous water. It also adds character to the tank itself with plants growing out of the tanks. Plan to try a pothos the same way, though we've had them growing in a wicked planter that dips into the tank and it wasn't entirely happy. These are well-made and small enough they don't take up a lot of space or look ugly hanging back there. The little gadgets that slide in to attach the baskets to the siding aren't quite big enough for the monster tanks BUT I just pushed the glass lid up against them and they stay put. I bought one set, liked them so much I bought another for the Jack. He HATES plants but has agreed the black baskets can stay. The live plants reduce the brown gunk (that has a name, but I can never remember it and I'm too lazy to look it up) and the plants thrive on the extra nutrients. Pond stores have cool varieties but just remember the baskets are small; you'll need to go in and split the plants as they grow, and either get them new black baskets, or share with a friend. All in all, I love this idea and I love the implementation and my fish say "thanks, dude!"

Works but....
My complaint has to do with the included attachable hangers. They should have made them a bit longer. I had a feeling based on other reviews and they are right, the overhangs are just too short on standard rim fish tanks. I will be Jerry rigging them with spring clamps. Other than that works just fine, dont trust the suction cups. Also packaging was good except for the attachments. They are all mixed up and have to be separated by size.

Perfect for adding plants to your aquarium.
Perfect for the addition of plants to my aquarium sump. The assembly was very easy, and they fit perfectly on the tank. There are 4 units in the package which is a great value. The units are high quality and durable with enough capacity to hold a significant amount of roots/plants.

Not for standard sized US tanks with glass top.
Unable to use with a standard rimmed tank with a glass top. The glass is in the way. Moving it forward won't allow proper usage of the hinged glass top. Reading the reviews the suction cups are junk. So essentially worthless to me.

Dang fine product.
I ordered this. It shipped maybe the same day, at worst the day after. It arrived two days later. I opened the package. I put plants in them. I put it in my fish pond - not a pond really, just a 50 gallon pot with fish in it. The plants grew. The fish thrived. It has been like two weeks of heaven. No really, it has been just two weeks, but I liked it so well that I’ve ordered two more for my fish tanks. Oh, and the same time I bought this I bought another brand as well. It has been okay, but I won’t order another. Yes, repeat customer. 100% satisfied. Just for the record, I love the way it works, but I’m not in love with it, that would just be weird.
