This is so easy to use with one hand and does a nice job grinding up the salt and pepper. It looks great and the size is perfect. If only it would refill itself :)

i bought this to replace my one-handed manual salt and pepper grinder and it's even better than that old one. This seems so simple in concept and so perfect in execution. After multiple wrist/hand surgeries, I often find myself making lunch one handed. It's also perfect for when one hand is being used for raw meat and you need to season without washing up.

Oh my what a joy it is to save space and have only ONE salt/pepper grinder! one hand use. top has 2 buttons you choose what is needed when cooking. true, smaller holding bins, but that doesn't affect the super convenience! Looks great-appealing, battery life is normal, grind is perfect, quality - well made with a perfect grip for small hands and light weight. Have had this for several month now and it is the best purchase of the year so far! Highly recommend

Well, it grinds. That's good. Now for the bad:The plastic window where you pour pepper and salt pops off and you will have a mess, you need to hold it while grinding. Also on salt side adjustment to the size of grind does not work.UPDATE:Almost as soon as my review (above) went live, I was contacted by the company with the offer to send me the new unit without returning the other one. Well, the new one works perfectly: the window is secure, adjustments on both pepper and salt sides, works as it should, it is very nice and comfortable to use. This company definitely cares about their product and their customers!!! It is safe to buy from them and I will do that if I need something. So I update it to 4 stars. I knock one star off for the poor design of that window. It should be locking on the bottom, not on the top, gravity is putting a pressure to keep that window locked, and that wouldn't be an issue on the bottom.

UPDATE: Highly recommend and very pleased. I had an issue with the original grinder and just thought --- that's life. This company contacted me on their own and sent me a brand new product. No fuss at all and I love this salt/pepper grinder. Thank you!!!!About 2 weeks ago the salt side of this product stopped working. The pepper works fine though. I purchased it in December so I’d expect at least a year before it breaks/malfunctions.

I wanted this to work SO bad. I bought it as a gift for my wife who wanted an electric salt/pepper mill. The first one worked for a bit then died. We exchanged it for another and now we can't get batteries to stay alive in it. All rechargeable batteries do not seem to work at all, LiFe non-rechargeable batteries don't work at all.. If I put in expensive Duracell or Energizer batteries, it only works for a short time.I really wish I could return this still. I've had it sitting on the counter for a few months not in use because it takes $10 in batteries every month. That's insane!I see why they released a new model that has an internal battery that is rechargeable. That makes way more sense to me.I do not recommend this specific SKU of this product. I just can't.

Best kitchen purchase ever! This machine is friggin awesome. Whole family loves it, as do any dinner guests. The only thing that I didn't like about it is that it doesn't come with any salt or pepper. I didn't realize that and had to go buy some before I could use it. They should just send it with an amount of each to get you started.

UPDATE #2: After reimbursing me, the manufacturer actually reached out to sent me their upgraded version of this grinder, and it is a MUCH better option. First, it's re-chargeable, so you're no longer going through batteries, and the charge holds for an impressive amount of time. It's powerful enough to grind both salt and pepper without much effort, and even the plastic cover on the front is much more secure.So if you see this product available and it's the re-chargeable version, don't hesitate. It's much improved.And kudos to Sydney and anyone else on the other side of this product. I'm still stunned that they worked so hard to win me back...for a salt and pepper grinder.UPDATE: the manufacturer was kind of enough to reimburse me for the cost of this grinder, and I appreciate how quickly they reacted to make things right from my perspective.---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------It's difficult to find a bigger waste of money on something that actually started out receiving high praise.In fact, I was so impressed at first that I quickly bought a second to have out by the grill.And then, reality sets in. If it's not burning through batteries, the grinders are getting stuck, or the plastic is coming off, and peppercorns and salt are poured out everywhere, and all of that happens right before it decides to die for no apparent reason.Don't let the high-praise reviews here fool you on this waste of money. It's simply a $25 paperweight. I should have known better when I saw it had a 30-day warranty.Avoid it at all costs.
