BabyDan Extend-a-Gate 13 cm Extension Kit (White)

Was great for extending my pressure fit gate to my wide new build house stairs! I didn't want to drill holes in my nice new wall for a temporary solution, this extension kit worked great, was the best price out there and does the job perfectly, looks as though the gate has always been that width.

Absolutely spot on. We lost some parts from our other extender for our BabyDan gate, which was used for when a family dog stayed over. It didn't really fit well as we didn't have right size, but we made do. Now we have a 10 month old baby on the crawl, we needed a new extender that fitted right! This is superb as you get different length metal rods to attach the extenders to, meaning you have more scope to use in different places, and two extenders that hold the poles, meaning you can add both our one depending on the space. We've used ours facing away from each other (see difference in my photo to stock photo) in order to allow our baby to stay safe from the steep step in our kitchen, but provide a gap big enough for our house rabbit to get through! Caution should be used for using like this though to ensure your baby can't put their head through the gap that is bigger than what's on the gate. Our baby can't, and won't be left alone in this area anyway.

Expensive for what it is - not used it as it didn’t fit

The gate that this fits is good. This extension works fine but is very expensive for what it is. Fitting instructions could be clearer.

Note to future stupid customers - you need to assemble the extension bit yourself. I didn’t realise and feel completely daft! Excellent product!

the instructions are drawings only and to begin with I wasn't too sure how to use this extension kit, but then the 'lightbulb'went on and it was straightforward. Adds to the existing gate as if it is one complete unit. Well done to the manufacturers.

It's important to read/watch and follow the instructions 😉 this works perfectly as an extension to a Babydan gate. Very happy

I won’t lie, the instructions from babydan are hard to follow (and I build ikea furniture all the time!) once I read the instructions 23 times, had two breakdowns and watched 3 YouTube videos in Dutch it was a little easier to put together. It is sturdy and does the job so overall happy with it.
