Not a paid review - love this product
So I'm not a paid reviewer. I bought the full priced product.I was on a trip with girl friends abroad and she said this product was amazing so I gave it a try the three days we were on holiday and it was amazing. I have oily, acne prone skin and dry spots. This serum goes on after I tone my face and I just put a few drops in my palm, rub my hands a bit then pat it all over my face, eyes and neck. Then I layer a night cream / day cream on top. Sometimes I skip the cream and put on my BB / CC cream directly in the day time because it's so hydrating. It's cleared up my acne and really hydrated my face.PROs- no harsh chemicals- not too expensive- great texture: dries very quickly, works well with other creams and make up or on its own during humider summer months- hydrating- lovely new packaging design- hygiene pipette bottleCONs- May not be hydrating enough for ppl with dry skin: layer moisturiser on topI've yet to know if their anti-ageing claims come true but so far my skin feels clearer and plumper with this serum

Decent base ingredients, subpar Vitamin C.(Honest review)
Okay this is a real review (From 28yrs old male)I have bought this and the retinol twice now (About a year ago). These products are subpar. Honestly ask yourself the question how on earth do both these products have crazy high ratings compared to other skin care products when they are supposedly using 20% vitamin C, you'd think more people would have complaints of sensitive skin or peeling(fake or over eager reviews for free products me thinks). I know it uses a less irritating form of vitamin C, but at 20% you should feel something. So here is the crux of it. The active ingredients in these products don't do squat, which is a shame as the other ingredients are really lovely. It smells great, feels great. But all those people who say that their skin is 'glowing', its just the orange colour of the cream. Wash your face and that will disappear. It most likely even out your complexion with the moisturising effect and tint it a little giving you that glow.I used both the Vitamin C and their 2.5% Retinol (which should have burnt me to a cinder) after derma rolling and feel nothing. Slight fine lines still there. It could be due to the PH of the mixture being to high, which am going to test and update you guys later on. They do use more stable ingredients, which in research are deemed not that effective.I went back and made my own 15% Vitamin C at home, instantly feel it tingle and already diminished one of 1's after session of derma rolling. Shame I would pay more for this product if the Vitamin C and retinol were better.

A nice serum that looks and smells orangy- and here's why..
I am new to vitamin c serums, I had used a serum by an another company at first and loved it. Since I decided to add vit c in my daily skin routine I thought to try the serum by Instanatural as well, see which one works better for me. This serum, apart from vitamin c and hyalurolic acid, contains plenty essential oils. As an essential oil enthusiast I liked the idea of an enriched serum, and all these oils are said to be beneficial for the skin. When I first used the serum I was surprised because it looked and smelled differently than the other one. This serum smelled and looked like freshly squeezed orange juice. As in most vit c serums, this is one also contains vit c in form of Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, which is a stable form that doesn't spoil. It is also a colourless form, so don't assume that the orange colour comes from the vit c. The orange colour comes from the Seabuckthorn oil. A representative from the company answered this exact question in the us amazon. An another essential oil in this serum is the Carrot Seed Oil. I have read in many diy cosmetics recipes, that carrot seed oil has such a strong smell and if you decide to use it, you will have to also use an another essential oil to mask/cover the smell. So in this serum lets see where that smell could come from? Pink Grapefruit essential oil, member of the citrus family. So in this way you have a serum that looks and smells like orange juice, but that has nothing to do with the vitamin c that it contains. So don't worry, it won't spoil, you don't have to put it in the fridge. Also don't believe that this is a true vit c serum just because of the way it looks and smells. It's the essential oils that give the scent and colour. The results for me? A nice, thick serum, a bit sticky though. I have oily combination skin and this serum didn't get absorbed as fast as the other one I had tried. Sometimes my skin felt slightly sticky and I didn't like that, as when I continued to put my day/night cream everything was too much. I also noticed that my occasional acne appeared again, not a break out but still if your skin has cleared out you don't want to see 3-4 zits appearing every now and then. Maybe this serum would be great for people with dry or even normal skin, but it didn't work wonders for me. I think that my skin prefers a lightweight serum. To be fair and precise I would put 3,5 stars but I feel generous today so 4 stars it is!
