Great mason bee house!
This is a great mason bee house! It is well constructed and I'm looking forward to next spring when my mason bees fill the house!

Bee hotels should have longer tubes, and they need a woodpecker guard
The description promised that it is 6.9"D x 4.21"W x 11"H. In fact, it's only 3.6" deep, not 6.9". The 4.1-inch "width" is presumably the depth of the roof. Tricky. In their favor, it appears that most of the makers do that. The reason that might matter is that some people suggest that a 6-inch tube is helpful or necessary for some bees, because they can pack more food in there. On the bright side, we had a bee house last year, and the bees quickly filled it.On the dark side, a bird, presumably a woodpecker, cleaned it out before anything could emerge in the spring. So bird hotels need a woodpecker guard. A stiff wire mesh on the front, mounted an inch or two in front of the holes, should do the job.

Don’t buy, there are better mason bee houses for less money.
Bamboo cylinders, I guess are only lightly glued to inside of back of house. About 8 of these had already come loose, once loosened, big gaps in between cylinders are formed because the cylinders are not tightly packed in house.

I am thrilled to help the bee population. I have hung this and hope it attracts bees.

It’s okay…
The bee barn is okay; it looks nice in my backyard, but no bees have shown up. There was no assembly needed. Size is fine and seems sturdy.
