This actually turned out to be better than I expected. Reading the reviews I knew that grey would not really be a good colour to cover everything. I think the best colour is black and one thing to know is that they have some kind of shiny material on the opposite side. So I think black does cover everything and then the shiny material helps like keeping the light away. Lot of people crib about the adhesive. However, I think like they are so cheap that as a renter. If I live in a house for a year or two the cost is small enough that I would be happy to like leave it as it is when I like go away and leave it up to the next tenant to remove if they want to or keep it if they don't have a problem with it. Also for me because I put this up as an extra layer to my already existing blinds. I didn't really feel like it was flimsy because I already have the double glaced Windows. I've put a net on top of it for air circulation and no bugs. Then I on top of it have the blinds and on the blind's rod I have stuck this cover for very sunny days. So for me it feels versatile. It feels adjustable and durable enough for the summers in London.

Wow! Not only do these look decent on the back door they make a huge difference to the temperature build up of my kitchen. My kitchen gets heated most of the day from the sun and the sun shines through the kitchen door into the living room and into your eyes. I wanted a cheap way to block the sun from my eyes in the afternoon. I didn't want to spend much as I have a dog and two cats who like destroying stuff. The blind comes with double sided tape fitted and it works superbly! Unlike a lot of cheap items that utilise double sided tape this sticks and won't come off unless you want it to! Not only does it block all light it also has a metalised backing the reflects the subs light and heat back out through the glass. This made a tangible difference to the heat build up in the kitchen depute the fact we also have a very large window that's uncovered. This blind is amazing value and does exactly what it purports to do.

Update - lowered by 1 star as the shiny reflective thing on the back is attracting magpies and they are pecking at my window glass multiple times per day !! I am having to replace these asap Moved into my flat and got these temporarily. I’ve had them up longer than expected as I haven’t got round to replacing them yet. Easy to put up. They wear a bit when you open and close them a lot. Would definitely buy again if needed.

These are brilliant. I am doing up a flat and needed a temporary blackout blind for the bedroom. A quick look at the reviews on Amazon and ordered two 90cm wide black blinds. (Needed two as my window is 180cm wide and as far as I'm aware, although don't take my word for it, these blinds are not available in that width). Really easy to put up. Take off the strip of paper and press the sticky bit into place. It could not be simpler. You can fold the blinds up and hold them in place with the provided plastic clips. Unfortunately one of my supplied clips, there are two with each blind, was broken but despite that I am considering order some of the white ones for the living room and study until the renovations and decorating is complete. Some of the reviews say that these blinds are such good quality that you can use them as your permanent blinds and I would agree, they are very good quality. They don't feel like paper or have the poor quality you might expect of paper blinds, these feel more like cloth. Very happy with my purchase.

Will defininately being buying more this is a great value products, easy to cut & install and does the job, our bathroom was super hot in the afternoons with full sun but now is super cool - very happy with this product

Buy one that covers the whole window, or buy larger and cut to size. Wipe or clean the area you will stick it to, so dust doesn’t prevent it from adhering properly. Then have it as close to the window frame as possible. For the price and materials I didn’t expect too much from this but it surprised me. I have it on the kitchen window for sunny days and it makes a noticeable difference. The shade aspect helps and the reflective surface also stopped the temperature from rising even as the outdoor one continued to climb. I found the adhesive to be really strong, mine hasn’t peeled away or shifted since I put it up. Based on my experience you’ll see an improvement. It’s not an air conditioner, it’s not going to cool down your room from its current temperature, but if you have it extended from sunrise on a sunny day it should certainly help keep your room a bit more tolerable than otherwise.
