These AQQA aquarium lights are worth every penny and offer the best bang for your buck when it comes to the intensity of lights and features. The brightness and color options have significantly enhanced the look and health of my heavily planted tank.The customer service experience with representative Luna was exceptional. They replaced a light that went out within the year warranty without any hassle. That alone makes this product and company worth buying.The configuration was easy to understand.51: on and off52: night light on and off limited to red, blue or green53: Different light levels, as depicted in their advertisements, are available. This setting is great as I can simulate a sunrise for 30 minutes, have the light on for four hours, turn it off for two hours, and then back on for another four hours, ending with a 30-minute sunset(Sorry not sorry my tank glass is covered with algae for my snails and shrimp)Highly recommend!

Love the light, colors are great the different times to have it turn on and off change the brightness but the only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because the dang controls system the way to program it absolutely sucks its needlessly hard and difficult to control to have it do what you want it do

I'm now on my 5th purchase of various sizes and can't be happier! Excellent performance! If anything the lights are TOO bright and have to be reined in a bit to prevent algae growth. They provide the perfect customization for my 2 specialty 'black water' tetra tanks!!! Best "bang for the buck" of any LED aquarium light sold here on Amazon! I highly recommend! I use them on all 6 of my tanks!Having the settings/control pad integrated into the unit itself is an added bonus which is a feature I love.Despite other reviewers' comments the case is aluminum and does not get hot. So no worries there!I must note that the units are NOT water resistant in any way despite the seller's claims, one must separate the light from the aquarium moisture by using a standard glass or 'plexi' lid. Not a big deal though ...( PS: the instructions, provided in clear readable English, are okay if you are not a dumb-dumb. They are easy to follow but hard to remember)I love these LED light units! I will continue to buy more if needed!

The price point is great (tempted to make this 4-stars based upon that), and I like how programmable the light is, but it's way too complicated and irritating. First you get the manual to decode the button labels, then press them a million times to get the time settings you want, then you have to check in on it when the changes are supposed to occur, as the setup process gives very little confidence that it was done properly. It's cool that the time changes/intensity changes slowly transition, I suppose. The overall brightness is also way too bright for my needs. The programming has a great solution to that (brightness is pretty widely adjustable), but that is of course just a bunch more button mashing on the little screen during the setup.
