TOOENJOY ROOF Basket

I recently bought this roof rack for a beach trip with my family, and it was a must-have for our car. The canopy, beach chairs, and our folding wagon fit on top, which made a lot of room inside the car for other important things. I was surprised by how much the rack could hold and how sturdy it was, especially considering how much gear we had to move. But the setup process wasn't very clear. Even though the directions were clear, it took longer than I thought to line up all the parts and secure them properly. Having an extra pair of hands would have made the building go more smoothly. But once it was set up, it felt strong and safe. A set of locking straps would have been nice to have come with the cargo basket. Even though the U-bolts that came with it were fine, ratchet straps would have made things safer and easier to use, especially for attaching things that aren't round, like our wagon and canopy. The rack worked great on the trip to the beach. We were able to keep all of our stuff safe, and there was no wind noise or shifting during the drive. This was made much easier by the wind fairing that could be taken off. It made the long drive to the coast a lot more enjoyable. The TOOENJOY rack is a great buy for anyone who needs more room for their stuff when they go on trips. Just be ready for some trouble when setting it up, and you might need to buy some extras, like ratchet straps or a cargo net, to make loading and attaching your gear even easier. Even though it was hard to set up at first, it made our trip to the beach much more fun and easy.

I love this roof cargo basket! I had purchased a cargo bag, and roof crossbars, but I didn't like the idea of the cargo bag touching the paint of my car. This roof rack was the perfect solution because it fit my cargo bag, almost to the T. The installation is rather simple, but does take a little longer than expected since you have to screw in the bolts manually. However, once installed, it is very sturdy! I took a 20 hour drive down to Florida, from Chicago, and this roof cargo basket did the job flawlessly. Once I saw that everything was secure in the basket, I never once was concerned about the cargo bag falling out. Great purchase if you just need the basket!

Rack is small and fit my low profile rails perfectly. Quick installation, clear instructions. Took it on a 1600 mile round trip with no issues. The U bolts included as are a bit flimsy, but worked (i utilized hook and loop straps to add additional securing points in addition to using the supplied u bolts). Overall, happy with the purchase.

I had some 'learning experiences' after purchasing the TOOENJOY Roof Rack Cargo Basket, but am pleased with the unit. Think it's a good value. Part of the strength of this unit is that it is precision engineered. The elements are close tolerance. After assembly and tightening the fasteners, it is quite strong. The downside to this is: if components are damaged in shipment or assembly, it may be difficult/impossible to install the provided fasteners. Unpack carefully and retain the packaging. Obviously, a return is not trivial. In addition, there are specific measurements not mentioned until you view the assembly instructions: All measurements in the pictorial instructions are metric, but I'll give the equivalent inches too (decimal portion and rounding always up). The mounting cross members front to back centerlines should be a minimum of 600mm (23.7). The mounting cross members side to side u-bolt centers should be a minimum of 800mm (31.5). The width of the mounting cross members front to back should be a maximum of 80mm (3.2). The thickness of the mounting cross members should be a maximum of 35mm (1.4). If your mounting situation does not meet these requirements, you will have to make adjustments.
