Hidizs AP80 PRO-X Leather Case, Custom Made for AP80 PRO-X&AP80 PRO Portable Balanced Lossless MQA Music Player(Grey)

Although a bit expensive, it is worth the money to have protection for my little hidizs unit. It is a very nice shade of blue and fits the unit perfectly because it is custom made for it. I would recommend it for anyone that has purchased an AP80 Pro-X.

Let me begin by saying out of several DAP players in the sub 4300 dollar range that I have tried, the sound quality of the AP 89 pro is the bes, The sound has a neutral feel to it with resonant base and great miss, with no apparent loss of crystal clear highs. The sound stage is wide and has some depth, which gives a feeling of presence. I have tested it with music files, mostly FLAC format up to 24bit, 192 KHZ, which it handles very well. The operation of the device is simple and straightforward if you stick to the basics, although navigating the Bluetooth, MSEB and HiBY connectivity can be more demanding. I was able tocoonect my iPad using Bluetooth and play tracks from TDAL and QOBUZ without any problem. The player easily handled a 512Gb micro SdD card filled with Hi-Res. music and did so impressively fast with little or no lag ( although it took a good few seconds to initially scan the card). It was also able to control the DAP from my phone using a downloaded Hiby app and the DAP’s Hiby connection. Battery life is a little less than I expected, but probably was due to some large music files and a lot of experimenting with the device, that said, it re-chrges pretty quickly using my iPhone fast charger. It’s portable, small enough for a pocket, and certainly has great sound. It also allows you to insert a 512 GB micro SD card, which seems to be double the capacity offered by otharDAPs in this price range, One small gripe is the lack of wi-fi but it’s not unusual in this price range. Overall I’d say it is an excellent unit for the money, and provides a sound quality that’s a cut above its competitors, Just be aware that the documentation that comes with it is not the best and you may need to experiment with trial and error to get things other than basic functionality working to your preferences.

i was very excited when i first used this product, it connected to blue tooth headphones and speakers flawlessly. however, not more than 4 months later, the player won't hold a blue tooth connection, it drops out within a minute of a song starting and may and most times won't connect unless you stop the music and reconnect the blue tooth connection. also, since blue tooth was unusable, i started to plug in headphones, well that worked for about 1 month until the connection port only put out music on one side. the port is non unusable for any music. DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT

I need a player that resumes play, can delete a file, and can be ordered according to file name. Willing to pay extra for high quality sound. This almost ticks all the boxes except for the file name. Instead it orders music according to song name...not the same. I have mp3 audio books that absolutely must be played by file name. Also the touch screen is buggy, not responding well to touch. For these reasons I am returning it for an Android model. To the credit of Hidizs, tech support was responsive. At least until I spelled out specifically why the ordering was not working.

This is a looking case and protects the player very well. However, it is extremely over priced. A bit of plastic and a faux suede cover. Save some $$$. Buy an aftermarket case.

I returned this because the controls were hard to access. The silicone case that came with my player works much better.

Not a lot of leather to protect the this unit with. with against drops etc...

I bought this case for my much loved Hidizs DAP and I disagree with the other review. I have large fingers and have no problems turning the volume wheel. The case fits perfectly around my device and I can use all the buttons easily. It’s classy, well designed and does not look or feel after market at all. This case is a must have to protect a terrific little device.
