This tool is worth the investment. It helps save time setting up the lathe to turn your pen stock.

I ordered the product so I could turn my pens on center instead of a mandrel that bends and warps. Now I can turn without any troubles.

This mandrel puts pressure on the blank being turned, not on the end of the mandrell. The mandrel will never bow. It also allows the tail stock to close in on whatever size piece is being turned. You no longer have to have 2 blanks to fill the space from the head of the mandrel to the threads on the tail.

This is a great replacement for a worn bearing on my original pen Turning tools

I use this on my WEN benchtop lathe and the only issue I’ve had is the tailpiece gets stuck in the tailstock every time. I’m not talking a little stuck, I mean I have to knock on it with a rubber mallet until it pops out. Not sure why since I have some accessories that are labeled the same size and they have no issues with removal.Overall, it does what I need it do and works well. Everything came wrapped and greased so no worries about rust there.I would recommend, I would buy again!

The mandrel is great but the drill bit is not true!

I received this mandrel and but and put them in my lathe to see if they were straight,neither one was straight.
