Adults may think it is terrible, little children will think it is great
This item was a hit with my Frozen-obsessed niece. I bought it here on Amazon.Addressing what seem to be the two major complaints:It DOES play the full songs. There is a plastic tab that has to be pulled free from the battery compartment to take it out of Demo Mode. I did not do this personally, I only mentioned it to the 5 year old and she accomplished it. Once done, however (again, by a 5 year old), it played the full songs. It is not a "real" microphone. The amplified voice effect is somewhat muddled and not particularly strong. This matters little to a 5 year old girl. She was thrilled to hear her voice along with the music. Adults may think it is terrible, little children will think it is great. It hooked up easily to a smartphone and she could sing along with any song she liked. It played that music more than adequately. After 30 straight minutes, you will come to believe that the amplification is more than sufficient. Her parents certainly did.I like to give loud gifts because I enjoy seeing children enjoying themselves as children should. And also as revenge on my older brother. That's what Uncles are for.

That it looks like the picture
This is still in the box as it is a gift for my great Niece but it looks well made and I feel confident that she will love this.

we liked it
my 4 year old loved it. works great. removed the batter tag to turn off demo mode. Pretty simple to use - push and hold top button to talk into mic (and your voice will come out of the microphone speaker). Not super loud, but certainly loud enough to know your voice is going through (similar to one of those toy electric megaphone toys from back in the day). Bottom button turns on preloaded song clips or MP3 player (when attached). Kids love it. It's perfect for a first time toy microphone. Haven't tried to plug into MP3 player, so can't speak to that part.

Kids will love it, adults not so much. But who's playing with it?
My Frozen obsessed daughter who loves to sing was SO HAPPY when she got this for Christmas!! She would not put it down for a few days straight and we had to set limits for the sake of our sanity and my marriage, LOL.The volume is ok, wish there was more control over that, but kids will just make it as loud as possible I guess. The sound quality is not superb, but this is a toy, not a real microphone, eh?Sturdy construction. It's been banged around quite a bit in the past month, and held up fine.My biggest gripe is that there are only 2 songs installed, and it did not include "Do you want to build a snowman"; just "Let it go" and olaf's "Summertime". For the price ($13), I would expect the 2 most popular songs at least. The MP3 connection worked fine, but you have to connect it to the ipod etc, search for the song etc etc. Then you best make sure you remember to disconnect your MP3 player or else it will get dragged, dangling by the cord to wherever your little princess imagines her next singing adventure!

Totally Elsa!
My niece absolutely loved this Elsa microphone for her fourth birthday! It is pretty loud, but she thought that was great. Every little girl loves Let It Go, and this is the perfect accessory for them. It lights up and sings a few lines of Let It Go. Great price and very easy for kids to use.

Christmas gift
My granddaughter loved this. The sound quality was so clear. Easy for her to use. She's 6 now but definitely was a great gift for the price.

Worked great for a few days
This microphone is pretty neat but it stopped working after a couple of days so that sucks. We returned it for a replacement. What it does is pretty cool though. Works well with an iPod.-As a wife and as a mom of 3 kids, I spend a lot of time shopping for deals on the best products out there for my family. It's important to me that if we're spending our hard earned money that we get a top notch product in return. I often rely on the reviews and opinions of others when contemplating purchasing a new product that I haven't tried before myself. Because of that, any products that I buy (whether on Amazon or from a 3rd party) I always make sure to leave a detailed review of the product to help others when selecting items to purchase, as well. My family tests these products fully before forming a solid opinion and writing a review. When I write a review, I keep in mind that those reading are also looking for honesty about the product and want an unbiased opinion to go by. If my review has been helpful to you, please give me a "Yes" vote on my review. Thank you!

Perfect for toddlers/preschoolers
This was perfect for my 4yo girl (her twin brother loves it too). She had been asking for a microphone for her birthday and it fit the bill. Quality of sound isn't great but I didn't expect much for <$13. It can be plugged into a MP3 player (we are using an old iPod) but it also works as a stand alone microphone and she can sing to any song on our sound system or just by herself. It plays about 10 - 15 seconds of Let it Go and In Summer. There are two settings, one that will play the previously listed two songs, and the other setting, which is when you can sing along to music on another device or just stand alone. The batteries that came with the microphone died within the first day of use. I will update review based on how long this toy lasts. Right now we are only on day 2.
