The Carolina Killa has GREAT flavor -- finger licking good. However, be warned that these are extremely spicy. I consider ghost peppers semi spicy. This jerky is on another level. I downed a bag in about 15 minutes, and I felt some discomfort in my abdomen, which has never happened to me before. I've found that having a piece every few minutes is okay, and my body has slowly acclimated to the heat. If you sweat when you eat ghost peppers, this jerky might be too spicy for you.

MMM, this tasted delicious, my husband is on a low sodium diet and this is great! (With beef jerky it’s really hard to find something low sodium that actually tastes good) will be perching again!

Let me start by saying I've eaten tons of spicy foods for years, salsas, chips, pickles, etc. I put tabasco scorpion on everything and add cayenne pepper and dried ghost peppers to everything I cook, I love spicy food am used to it. I love carolina reaper and scorpion peppers. I grow my own reapers and cook with them.The heat/taste of this jerky is fine and it has a nice soft texture while still being chewy. What I did not expect was the most intense stomach pain of my life about 5 minutes after I ate 3 or 4 pieces. It felt like there was a brick in my stomach and at the same time someone stabbed me with a sword in the stomach. It was that sharp pain feeling but also the heavy dull pain feeling inside. It made me sweat profusely and I went through about 20 sheets of paper towel wiping my face and chest off. I've never experienced this kind of internal pain from something spicy and like I mentioned, I have quite a tolerance and some experience. About a month later I tried 2 pieces of jerky again from the other pack (bought the 2 pack) and I had the same exact extreme pain. I thought maybe I just had a bad batch before or maybe it was not mixing well with something else I ate, but no, it was extremely painful and uncomfortable. I would not suggest trying this and having a chance of experiencing what I went through.

I was really disappointed in this beef jerky. It is labeled as orange teriyaki but I am unsure how to describe the taste. The jerky has neither taste nor is it really flavorful. It is almost plain but has a hint of vinegar aroma to it. The texture is good yet some pieces are crumbling in the bag. I have not experienced beef jerky with this type of consistency before. It is not terrible but it is not good. I think maybe a different flavor would be better because this has almost no flavor except for the slight after taste of something tangy.
