Technaflora Rootech Gel for Plants, 7-Grams (2-pack)

After giving the gel a couple more trials (side by side testing with the PH neutral water as a control), I've decided to change my feedback.The earlier testing led to problems as this hormone can react differently for different plants. That being said, it worked very well on 8 out of 10 species cloned. Initially, the problem seemed to be over watering. This gel holds some moisture in, but gives the direct application to stimulate growth of roots, and with too much water you basically just flush the hormone. So the best advice I can offer is:1) Soak your medium first2) lay everything you will need in front of you for easy access.3) WEAR GLOVES! (I found out the hard way how bad this stuff makes your vomit if accidentally ingested by transfer)4) Use a sharp razor/blade and lightly remove the bark from the lower section of the specimen to clone. You want to remove the out side layers so the gel is applied directly to the lighter colored inner tissue.5) Apply a generous amount of gel (I find dipping easiest)6) With hole pre-prepared, insert the cutting a bit further than you removed bark area7) Be patient and water normally. Best way is to check with your finger and see how saturated the still is. The gel doesn't wash right away, but repeated flushes of copious amounts of water surely will. Give the cutting roughly a week and you will have a clone. Don't go ripping it out right away (or transplanting it), as it will only begin the process of drinking and the early roots are easily breakable.So I hope this info helps someone else considering this purchase. They are well worth the price, and the gel helped sprouts pop roots and begin drinking 2 to 3 days faster than the PH neutral water did in my research.

Best for cloning females. I always have near 100 percent success with this brand. I would buy these small containers so I do not have top separate and I toss the remainder of any open container so not too contaminate next cycle, which is part of the success, the rest is the formula in this product. Use standard method and this stuff should well for you.

Giving a three star for now not because it's not worth five but because I'm using it for the very first time right now!I fell in love with this wandering jew plant of my parents & looked for it everywhere with no luck. So I stole some clippings and stuck in water to try and root myself but it did nothing. I got frustrated & almost gave up until I watched a video on YouTube of successful propagation with root hormone. After seeing all the great reviews of this product I wanted to give it a shot. I'm incredibly hopeful & can't wait to see this work it's magic.Will update in a few weeks!

It works really good. I start a lot of succulents and cactus in my home on 8 foot tables and grow lights. By sticking the stem of the started plant in the gel helps roots to develop and grow.

I swear by this stuff never fails me if I do everything correctly! 45 % angle, scrape the stem a bit and put them in a clone dome DO NOT let them dry out for about a week and after that they will take off. Many times I will get 100% propagation. Biggest mistakes are, taking clones when the plants thirsty (causes it to have an stem air aneurism), and letting them go dry. Temps should be around 73 degrees and they should root within 9 days 2 weeks if they go VERY slow.

I have tried twice to use this product with no results to date. I have tried twice to root clippings from boxwoods, no luck. They are very small containers, however you do not need a lot of gel. It arrived quickly, packaged and the product looks great. I will try again.

I am one of those people that are just no good at cloning. I've bought bubble cloners and humidity domes. I see others cloning in straight water... I'm not that lucky. I decided to give cloning one more go with this cloning gel and so far I have 2 of 5 clones rooted and I expect the other 3 to root as well as they seem to be doing great.You get a lot of gel in a container. Probably enough for 150 clones... just guessing on that though. Great value for the money.

I tried using this several times for a fiddle leaf fig plant at the optimal time of spring. I never got a plant to root. The stuff smells horrible. Got a lot of mold but never was able to propagate therefore I cannot recommend this
