Q: My door doesn't have a split spindle but want to fit one so door can only be opened from outside using key, can it be cut to size if needed?

Hi this is going to be dependent on the current door lock fitted as different makes of locks achieve this by different methods & you cannot fit another make to another make as the linkage points and fixings are always unique to that particular model and manufacturer If the door lock is very old there may no longer be an option available again dependent on what locks / handles are now made. Therefore we would need to see what lock you have fitted to advise your options. Hi I am trying to interpret your question ? I think you are saying you have changed the lock but cant get it to work on inside I suspect you need to switch the split spindle from inside to outside
