Bought this to start candle making! This is the perfect size to make a batch of smaller candles or 2 larger 9 0z. I add more soy wax once melts down to make a larger batch and works great! Easy cleanup. I wipe out with paper towel. Cleanup with soy candles is amazing!

Package was slightly damaged and repaired with tape so I opened and checked it right away. All items were present. I did notice a peice of plastic rattling around inside the hotplate. I removed the nut on the under side and found a peice of cut zip tie that got left inside. I also saw a zip tie holding wires very unnecessarily. I cut and removed the zip tie just incase it might overheat and melt. I used the hotplate to make a couple of candles, worked great along with the thermometer. This is the second one of these I've purchased, the first was for my daughter and it worked great so I purchased one for myself. Love it, super convenient to use

This is a really great kit! The instructions were good and the kit is very beginner friendly. This was my first attempt at making candles and they came out perfect. This includes everything you need besides dye and scents if that's what you want. The burner heated up fast and melted the wax fairly quickly. I used the measurement markings on the inside to get consistent results. The candles turned out beautifully and I gave some as gifts and were very popular.

I actually purchased this for the pitcher and heater for a different project. I did make one candle, though, and the wax melted very well and the candle is holding up. The little burner and the metal pitcher work very well and appeared to be very durable. I was surprised at the contents of the kit, which has a great deal of product for the price. My review was less than perfect for the following reasons: The wick holder that's supposed to go across the top of the candle jar is very short, and kept falling in to the candle I was trying to make. The little sticky pads to hold the wick down came up immediately and the wick floated. I had to be creative to get it to stay on the bottom .

I really like this melting pot but you can’t put it on anything higher than 1 or it gets way entirely too hot. Everything else that comes with it is crap so I wouldn’t recommend using the wax or wicks

I had high hopes for this candle wax melting kit, and while the equipment itself delivered, the wax was a letdown. The melting pot and thermometer worked perfectly—easy to use and accurate, which made the process smooth and beginner-friendly. Unfortunately, the wax included in the kit was low quality. It didn’t melt or burn evenly, and the finished candles had a patchy, inconsistent texture. I’d recommend this kit only if you’re planning to use your own wax, because the tools are solid. Just be prepared to upgrade the materials for better results.
