Amazing movie. Definitely worth watching

This is one of my favourite films and certainly deserved recognition in the Awards. It is perfect in every way; the acting (the children were astounding), the photography, the story, the impact, the display of humanity in it's tragic form and the directing were amazing. Why was it ignored? I truly recommend it and it will be a film you will revisit in the future. It is a heartbreaking experience and one so many people can identify with.

a really honest film, showing perhaps how society would be if peer pressure and society norms didnt exist.an ideal friendship broken apart by others that feel the need to destroy true innocence.The acting is perfect and you really get the feeling of the reality of loosing something or someone.ive seen so many Hollywood movies that try to get you emotionally attached to a character, bit nothing as real as this film.I wish the director had put in lots of behind the scenes extras on this, along with a few narration audio options too .. the video of the awards its won and the Grand Prix prize standing ovation that went on for days.

Is it a good story yes though very sad true though going by whats happening in the world today

It would have helped me, if they had the option of English voice over. Reading subtitles tends to distract from the flow of the film. I have given it a 3 star rating mainly for the quality of the film rather than the content.

A rare theme for film, close friendship between boys. Perhaps the most notable example prior to thisfine fim, was "Stand By Me", an American rites of passage classic directed by Rob Reiner. It is clear that theyoung director of this prize-winning presentation had the same affinity with his young actors - as well ashis adult cast, all of whom perform superbly in this engrossing tale. Silences and facial expressions areused to great effect in a finely photographed production whose story unfolds over a seasonal year.The final shot joins other memorable closing images in film.

A sad film without an happy ending.

Belgium film makers punch well above their best. This is from the filmmaker that made `Girl` equally as good.
