Excellent Choice for SIM Card Cellular Router
I recently purchased this SIM card wifi Router, and I'm happy to share my thoughts on it. The product arrived in good condition and was well-packaged. It is designed for normal connectivity, but also Can use a Standard Cellular SIM card to Get internet. One of the standout features of this product is the Sim card specific feature. I found it particularly useful because regular land based internet is expensive and not portable. So I use a SIM card from a major carrier. The internet speeds I can using my cellular Sim card are plenty for my usage such as streaming videos and tv. On the downside, setting up the Router to propperly work with a sim card can be slightly challenging, This didn't prevent me from using the product, but it is worth noting for potential buyers. Overall, I would recommend to people looking for a reliable and affordable solution, It has met my expectations and I believe it would be a good fit for those who travel as well. If you're considering purchasing this product, I encourage you to read other reviews as well, as individual experiences can vary. I hope my feedback helps you make an informed decision.

Verizon Wireless Won't Activate
Took device to Verizon store and they refused to add device to my wireless plan. They entered the router's IMEI number into their system and it comes back this device is NOT compatible. Warning to Verizon wireless customers the you can't add router to your wireless plan. They tried to sell me their own device for $350. I walked out the door without it and no router added to my plan. I'm very upset.

Excellent
Easy setup. My cellular router died, and I needed a new one. It took about 30 minutes to get it up and running. And a YouTube video to learn how to change the IMIE. Don't connect the cellular antennas if you need to change your IMIE. Get the IMIE changed first. A word for those who wish to use this router with Verizon. If you do not have a SIM, you must get a tablet with a SIM card. I bought an inexpensive tablet that Verizon would not activate (not compatible -- right..), so I purchased the cheapest one with a SIM card directly from Verizon. You must have a SIM card, and it must be activated. Once your tablet/SIM is activated and working correctly, you must locate the IMIE number, write it down, power off your tablet, remove the SIM, install the SIM in this router, remove the cellular antennas (you don't want it attempting to activate before the next step), and run the IMIE cloning procedure on the router. Once done, you can power off your router and connect the cellular antennas. Watch the YouTube videos until you understand the procedure. This is not for the average user who wants to plug it in and walk away. This is the hardest part of the setup. If you do this improperly, Verizon will think an unactivated device is attempting to access their network, and you will be denied service. Once the router is up and running, it just works. I have been extremely pleased with its performance.

I am, almost, completely satisfied.
I am happy. System is light weight, but is not feeling cheap. Ease of set up is practically plug and play. Functionality for both the layman and those that want advanced options. Compatibility is good for the mesh I tied into. As I use this system in my rv, I am more than satisfied with overall signal strength. When adding the Peplink external 4g lte / 5g antenna, the reception over greater distances to cell antennas is great. For the advanced user, I believe that most will be satisfied. Whether you run a home lab, light gaming (WoW anyone?), or streaming/surging, this is getting the job done. I am also satisfied with VPN handling. I have used both OpenVPN and NordVPN. Installation is quick and straight forward, with easy instruction found on a quick Google search, and I have no complaints regarding speeds with VpN use. My down sides: No USB! I would prefer to at least one USB 2.1 or higher USB Port. My preferred build would have a USB 3.0 and a USB C port. To handle a hard drive, printer, etc. using the router and an SSD drive as a mini-cloud. Non removable WiFi antennas. I would prefer to have the ability to r&r all of the antennas, not just the G antennas. A slightly faster boot time. Definitely not a deal breaker, but would be nice if system had a little more ram, and more powerful cpu. Better switching sensor. The only time that the sim service seems to switch, is when one or the other service goes dark. There have been instances where T-mobile is faster and more stable, but once the system logged onto Verizon, so long as a signal is received from one service it will not auto switch to the stronger signal/stable/faster service. System should do a service check, at a time rate determined by end user in the settings, or hard fix at every 30 minutes. Bottom line is that this system will meet 80% of the users who buy this unit, for the other 20%, you will definitely need to look elsewhere (Peplink, Gl inet, etc) Most rv owners should be satisfied with this device.

Very cool router
I've never heard of this brand but needed a cellular router. After watching the videos of what you can do with this on youtube, I am sold. The quality seems solid, and the customizability with AT commands is great. The web interface to control the router works great. Haven't ran into any bugs yet.

Nice Sim Router with Stability for Multiple Devices
The Cudy Cat12 router is handling multiple devices, such as an iPhone, iPad, 2 smart tvs, Mac mini and multiple smart home products with ease. Features such as a reset daily allow for a fresh handshake to eliminate any issues with stability and it can be used with two sims just in case of an outage on one. We’ll worth the money in my opinion.
