Easy to fit
Fitted in around 10 minutes. Needed the help of an assistant to hold the loft hatch closed whilst IFitted the 2 parts in position from inside the loft and it works fine.Holds the weight of the trap door ok. ( mine is around an inch thick but is hollow. )Simply push the closed door in and it releases from the spring loaded mechanism.It is also hidden from view once the door is closed.

I was at a loss when my old loft hatch broke, this saved the day was easy to install, very pleased with purchase.

Used for trap door to attic works fine

not suitable for heavy loft hatch.
This product is not suitable for a loft hatch with any weight to it. the mechanism kept opening under the weight of the hatch.

Very good catch
Have tried other catches for my lift door but this one was the easiest to fit and works well.

Feeble, doesn't work
The mechanism depends on part A fitting precisely against part B, but the metal it is made of is so weak that it deforms in everyday use, so part A no longer fits against part B. I installed it, tested it three times. It worked twice, but then failed. I can bend it back into shape, but it will just deform again. Useless!

Bent out of shape in less than a month
Flimsy. Fine maybe for cupboards and hatches that don't have ladders in them. These are not sturdy and bend out of shape very easily.

Loft Door Hatch
The Hatch is very easy to install, simple instructions, i measured the width between the trusses in the attic to make sure i ordered the correct width.
