FitFlop Women's Lulu Slide Sandal

This is the second pair of FitFlop sandals that I have purchased. Based on the comfort, fit and appearance of the first pair-I decided to purchase another pair. First of all, I purchased these on a special deal on Amazon so the price was awesome. The shoe was very attractive and I loved the color(pewter) as the color looked even better than the photo.FIT - perfect fit for my usual size. Usually sandals without a back strap fail to fit comfortably on my foot, often 'slipping' and it feels like you have to 'grip' the top of the shoe with your toes BUT these sandals fit like a glove and did not slip or slide as you walk. The top strap had a perfect angle across the top of your foot and did not rub or cause discomfort to toes or top of foot. The back strap also was a perfect fit and both straps were very smooth and comfortable fit in all areas that come in contact with the foot.COMFORT - these are absolutely the most comfortable sandals I have ever owned. I wore them for 4 hours the first time in total comfort and have worn them all day several times since receiving the shoes. Feels like you are walking on air the entire time you are wearing them.PROS - pretty shoe, comfort, durability, perfect fit for size and price (on amazon special deal)CONS - NONE, other than I don't own more of them!

I have to order TWO sizes smaller in FitFlop sandals as they do not do half sizes - I'm usually an 8 and have to get a 7 - a pity but I do find that the leather gives a bit after wearing and my feet then fit correctly into the sandal. I like this sandal although I do not find it quite as comfortable as my previous type which is Lolla Slide. However, this LULU sandal is smarter for wearing out and I keep the Lolla Slide for indoor use. I like the colour and my heels like the comfort and respite from plantar fasciitis pain.

I first saw FitFlops in a small boutique, and although I thought they were a little pricey for sandals that were hanging on the wall displayed like flip flops, I was prepared to buy a pair after trying them on. All the FitFlops I tried on were incredibly light and comfortable, sturdy, and looked normal on my foot. They seem to be a terrific alternative to actual flipflops because they have style and a lot more comfort.I purchased the Lulu style because of the color, that it was a slide, and that it looked good on my foot. The reduced price on Amazon was a bonus factor for me, and I'm glad I checked their site before purchasing from anyone else. I don't think the other styles are reduced in price though, and Zappos has the most to select from.As for size, I'm a true 7.5 M,- the shoes fit perfectly in length with no room to spare, and the bands are comfortable. I also wear a size 7 in a whole- size- only flipflop, if that helps.

The shoe is beautiful smooth leather and an attractive classic style. I've had a pair of walkstar fitflops with the thong that rubbed blisters between my toes but I kept wearing them cuz I love the sole. They actually helped my sprained ankle to heal. I wanted to try a slide. This shoe, for me, was too narrow and too long. I have had better success with the Lulu weave slide in an 8. I wear an 8.5 wide shoe. I love Prime, cuz then I can try on several pairs to see if they fit.

I've worn FitFlops for a number of years, and have tried various styles. This particular style was recommended for my medium/B-width foot by FitFlop customer service, over others that are, supposedly, too wide. I thought the wider instep strap would be better at holding these to my feet. I usually buy shoes that are 10, 10.5, but know that FitFlops are usually plenty long; these were no exception.They were as comfortable as I've come to expect of FitFlops, out of the box. However, within two wearings, they've stretched to an impractical width. If I'm walking at a brisk pace (as one does in New York), they nearly fall off my feet, causing me to trip. They're worn, so I cannot return them now, so call this a wasted $70+. If I was one of those people who wear socks with sandals, I might get away with keeping them for myself.I can't recommend these to solidly-B-width wearers at all. They're probably best for those with a really wide or otherwise swollen foot.

This is now my 3rd pair of Fitflop sandals and I'm still in love with them!The positives:Quality of construction is awesome! I betcha these sandals last for a long time! I believe they're made with leather underneath the silver man-made material across the toes and arches and so I expect they'll stretch to fit my foot perfectly. The part across the toe falls perfectly right at the base of my toes so no digging into my toes and the strap across my arch is not too snug or confining. They're secure enough that I don't have to do that "grip with your toes to keep shoe from falling off" thing.The ONLY negative (and I'm not even going to deduct a star for it. Lol) is that they don't come in half sizes. I wear 7 1/2 and I know from experience with Fitflops to order DOWN in size so I ordered 7. My heel hangs just a TINY bit past the end of shoe but I'm sure that nobody but me would notice. And, frankly I don't care that much because, like I've said in previous reviews of Fitflops, these sandals are BY FAR THE MOST COMFORTABLE I've ever owned! I feel like I'm walking on clouds of cushioned cotton balls! I have 2 other thong sandals by Fitflop and I'd really love to have a pair of their house slippers, but I just cannot rationalize spending $150 for slippers, Fitflops or not! So I bought these non-thong sandals and wear thin socks with them around the house. So now I DO have a pair of Fitflop house slippers! Lol.I just cannot recommend these sandals highly enough!
