Quietest cables I've ever used.
As a fan and owner of several vintage Fender tube amps and guitars, assumed Fender pro cables would be top notch. My problem: when using their cables with several amps, I could hear radio stations coming out of my amps' speakers - quite loudly unless I faced just the right direction. Assumed I'd have to take the amps apart and put major shielding around the amp chassis. On a whim, decided to try a "Worlds Best Cables" guitar cable and bought one on Amazon. PROBLEM SOLVED, no more radio interference! Yes, a bit more expensive than the Chinese-made Fender cables but so much better. Night and day difference.

Superior guitar cables, excellent value
If you haven’t yet tried WBC (World’s Best Cables) I heartily recommend that you do so. Now whether or not WBC are the very best cables in the world may be debatable, but WBC produces superior guitar cables – equivalent to Mogami Gold – at a fantastic price. WBC uses the same high quality components as Mogami Gold (Mogami wire and Neutrik, Amphenol, and Eminence connectors) to produce a product that is essentially identical to Mogami Gold, but at much less than ½ the cost of that brand! Other than cost the main difference is warranty; whereas Mogami Gold is a “lifetime”, WBC’s warranty is “only” 10 years. I’ve used WBC 6” and 12” patch cables and a 12’ guitar cable for nearly two years and haven’t had a single issue. Given their components and construction, I expect WBC cables to be every bit as durable as the name brand. Now to review the current product. I wanted 15’ cable and, having done research, I was a bit concerned about tone loss due to capacitance at that length (although most articles say it’s not really an issue until about a 18.5’ length for a decent cable). Whereas Mogami 2524 wire is 39.7 pF/ft, Gotham GAC-1 is only 21 pF/ft. This means that a 15’ length of Gotham cable actually has a lower capacitance (315 pF) than a 10’ length of Mogami 2524 (397 pF). So what is my impression of these Gotham cables, and how do they sound? The construction of the Gotham/Amphenol cable is, as expected from WBC, excellent. The cable is sturdy and flexible. The Amphenol connectors are solid, with brushed metal housings and gold plated plugs (as compared to the Neutrik plastic housing with gold plated plugs). I fully expect these cables to hold up just as well as a Mogami Gold cable.I did repeated A/B comparisons of my 15’ WBC Gotham/Amphenol cable with a 10’ Mogami Gold cable and also with a 12’ WBC Mogami/Neutrik cable. I did this with both a single coil pickup guitar and with a guitar equipped with humbuckers. I was hard pressed to hear any difference, either in tone or in noise. If anything, the Gotham/Amphenol cable was ever so slightly brighter than the 10’ Mogami Gold cable. That is to be expected based on their relative capacitance, but I have to wonder if my ears/brain were influenced by videos I had watched, where Mogami and Gotham cables were compared with a spectrum analyzer). Again, this is super subtle difference, if in fact there is any difference at all. Both WBC cables sounded every bit as good as the Mogami Gold cable.Bottom line, the Gotham GAC-1/Amphenol guitar cable from WBC performs equally well as a Mogami Gold cable at roughly 40% of the cost of the Mogami Gold. I highly recommend these – and other – WBC cables!

Much brighter than Mogami
I replaced a 15ft Mogami 2524 cable with this and the difference was noticeable. I measured the capacitance and it is roughly half the 2524. If you’re looking to brighten your tone give these a shot. Remember you can turn your tone knob down to tame it but you can’t add treble

Great cable
Great cable for the money

Noisy, Disposable
After less than 1 year of gentle home use, the cable picks up noise from everything it contacts. If it moves at all on the wood floor it creates noise in the signal.
