Works great
Audio quality is surprisingly good on mid-sized speakers;

Exactly what I needed for speakers at a desk.
This could be used anywhere but if your laptop doesn't have a headphone port you need this. I used it with desktop speakers and it is perfect. Clean signal to the speakers and no issue with plug n play. If needed this is very small and easy to travel with as well.

Definitely nice for the price. But...
This does what I need and does it well. There is one small deficiency, in my opinion, and one weirdness that I don't think is the adapter's issue. The deficiency is that the device only supports 16 bit sound. The page doesn't claim otherwise except that one of the images specifies 24 bit sound. Nowhere in the description is that stated. Now, 16 bit sound is great and sound from this adapter is great - no problem there. I do think (or imagine) I can hear a slight difference in dynamism on another device that supports both bit depths. The weirdness is that on starting up in Windows 11 after a shutdown, sound comes through the adapter incredibly loud. If I unplug the adapter and replug, everything is normal. If I choose restart, there is also no problem. That constellation makes me think it's something in Windows (which doesn't fully shut down in shutdown, so it can start up more quickly). I'm going to keep an eye on it.

Perfectly restored the functionality of Bose Companion 3 speakers
At 5-inches long and nearly weightless, the cable perfectly mated the 3.5mm pin from my antique Bose Companion 3 sound system to a USB port on my new Windows-11 equipped Dell 7010 PC. I can now disregard the otherwise muffled, tin-sounding speakers in the PC. WhoHoo.

Did work/fit my external speaker audio jack
I have external speakers that connect through a 3.5mm audio connector. As I got a new PC that didn't have any audio out jack on the back and I didn't want the speakers plugged into the front I bought this thinking I could connect the speakers to a USB port on the back.Unfortunately the audio jack did not fit snuggly into this converter and the audio plug was about 1/8" longer than the input of this converter. This resulted in constant feedback from the speakers making it unusable.
