Quickest way I know of to verify scale length. Get the Precision Straightedge (MN821) to go with it.

This is a great tool - always on my bench
I wish I had the time to write a more detailed review. I bought this months ago and didn't want to forget to leave some kind of I review. After all of the crap luthier tools I have purchased on Amazon it's great to find something that that is well made and well designed. After I bought this I bought the Tri-Beam 3 'n 1 Dual Notched Straightedge & Precision Straightedge . There are only a handful of sellers of quality luthier tools on Amazon. In my opinion this is worth far more than I paid for it. I wish I would have found it sooner. I am very happy with it.
