Absolutely love this electric bike! It’s sleek, powerful, and makes commuting a breeze. I have had this bike since the end of October 2024 the gotrax r1 and let me just start by saying this is hands down the best ebike I have come across as far as value for money !!! I have put well over 1000 miles on this bike and it gets around 20 miles per charge on throttle only mode. It is user friendly and I remember when I got it the instructions were very clear and it was an easy to put the wheel in it came with tools as well. Let's talk about features this bike comes with a 48 volt battery up tested might I add making it acceptable anywhere that usually does not accept lithiom ion battery's as well as giving the user peace of mind (no one wants there ebike to become a suicide bomb so that alone is a huge reason to buy this bike it has 5 speed settings which are customizable in the program menu for peddle assist throttle is not effected by the pedal assist settings.moving onto speed this bike easily does 20 in full throttle and have gotten it to go 35 down hills there was no worry or speed wobble at those speeds and I was very happy with the balance and overall handling. The battery can be charged in or out of the bike and it comes with two keys for the battery and one charger which comes with a voltage regulator. The customer service of this company is unmatched I unfortanly had an accident on this bike about 4 weeks back now in which I cracked the screen it was my fault for being on my phone with one hand I have since got a phone holder but the craziest part with the screen cracked and I mean CRACKED PIECES LITTERALLY MISSING it still turned on and worked up until I replaced it with the new screen. Go trax does a two year warranty and all I had to do to get my new parts was to contact them via email to submit my claim including a picture of the problem as well as my order receipt number which is very easy to find on amazon. I must say as I use this bike every day I am so very thankful to the go trax support team for there quick response to my claim and getting the parts shipped under warranty completely free of charge! They really honor and value there customers which is rare for a company nowadays and I will most definitely be purchasing from them in the future I already have my eye on an electric dirt bike they make and am currently saving for it. i use this bike for Uber eats and for commuting to and from work so this has been a game changer as far as not having to take care of a car pay gas prices insurance registration or inspection fees. The only con I can add to this review is that after about 3 months of use the screen had a bug where when I would turn on the bike it would do its normal count up and countdown but instead of the display coming on normally it would default to the settings menu and wouldn't let me exit. I called Amazon support and they contacted go trax who said theyd replace the bike under warranty. Being that I use this to commute I didn't want to wait for the time it would take to ship a new one and decided to see if there was a way to fix the big myself. I spent almost two hours string different things but I finally figured it out and the bug also never left that screen but to anyone who may have the same issue you just turn on the screen like normal and on the control buttons on the top right above the light button when the number gets to 9 on the count up you press and hold and it will exit that screen to the normal display and function as normal. So even the only con I can list turned out to be a blessing in disguise because I realized no one could steal the bike if they had the chance because no one knew about the bug and how to exit the screen it was like having my own little extra security. Fortunately the new screen looks and works just fine I'll end this review by saying I highly recommend this and any gotrax product to someone who is looking for a product that will last and be confident about the performance thank you again gotrax for this wonderful bike and the aMazing customer support

It’s a great option for commuting or running quick errands around town. The fact that it folds is super helpful for me since I live in an apartment and don’t have much space for storage. It fits nicely in the corner without taking up too much room.The battery life is impressive — I can go up to 40 miles using pedal-assist level 1, which is more than enough for a couple days of back-and-forth commuting without having to recharge. The motor is pretty powerful too. With a peak of 500W, it gives a nice push on hills and helps when I want to ride without breaking a sweat. The LCD display is simple and clear, showing speed, battery level, and assist mode, which makes it easy to keep track of everything while riding.I also like that it has 5 pedal-assist levels, so I can adjust based on how much help I want. The ride feels smooth and stable, and the 20" tires handle different road surfaces well. The brakes are responsive, and the bike feels safe overall.This is a great e-bike for the price. We bought this e-bike as a gift for a 55-year-old individual. It was well-packed, but opening the box was challenging for an older person. Assembling it was even more difficult.First, we relied on their poorly written, grammatically incorrect manual, which seemed to have been written by someone with cognitive impairments. The pictures were also blurry, as if taken by someone with visual impairments.If you’re considering buying this bike for an older person, someone who avoids smartphones or computer screens, or someone who’s concerned about the health risks associated with screen radiation, I strongly advise against it.We reached out to support for assistance, but unfortunately, they didn’t exist. The representatives we spoke to were all very unprofessional and seemed eager to refer us to “Big Brother’s” screens, even though we explained that the recipient didn’t want to use those screens. They even laughed at us and insisted that we send them an email that they never responded to.In addition to the lack of support, we encountered several other issues. The seat adjustment tool's bag was missing, so we had to improvise using tools from neighbors. The seat was so tight that we needed large plumbing tools to remove and adjust it. There were no clear instructions or pictures showing how to do it or how to oil the parts.As a result, we had to pay someone to do the laborious and confusing job of adjusting the seat. We tested it on flat surfaces and were disappointed to find that it barely reached 27 miles, far from the boastfully claimed Pass 1: 8-11 MPH and 40-mile range.If you’re considering buying an e-bike for an older person or someone who’s concerned about screen radiation, you have a few options: you can find someone to help you, pay a bike shop, or return the bike.If you’re fortunate enough to simply trash it as harmful waste, you can consider the product's name, “Ageism e-bike,” as a fitting description.
