These are NOT HEAT
If you desire HOT, really HOT, these are not for you. They are "okay" but not as advertised.

Very Spicy! Good Crunch
These were the spiciest pickles I have tried. I have to say they have a good flavor and are not just spicy. I couldn't eat all of them at once but think in moderation these would be great. A great change from other pickles! I plan on sharing them with friends at a party. I'm very happy with this purchase. Can't wait to try more pickles.

I would go with the 4x habanero, even if you can handle these, as they have a better flavor.
Package arrived quickly, but one of the jars had broken. The entire package was soaked in Habanero flaming juice, I damn near needed a hazmat suit to clean it up.I salvaged the remaining 5 jars, and had optimism for these, as their 4x habanero pickles are amazing which I have reviewed as well. In my opinion, these are just too hot to be enjoyable. I can get a couple down, but the heat trade off is not worth the flavor.I emptied a jar of them into the juice of an empty 4x habanero jar, and I plan to let them sit for a week or two and I will see if I get a better experience out of them, if so I will update my review.Update: I changed the rating to 5 star after figuring out to use the juice from these to soak other pickles from your local store and get them to a desired heat level. Absolutely amazing, and the brine can be used many times over. I would highly recommend doing this for anyone who finds these pickles just a bit too hot.

Best pickles ever
A long time ago my mother got us a few bottles of these and they lasted us nearly 2 years because they're so hot. I was sad when we used the last of the brine up in some chicken and rice stir fry I made (you have to try it), so I was delighted when I saw these on Amazon. They're not as hot as I remember, but if you eat more than 4 in a row you'll pay for it.These things are fantastic, the flavor is great and the heat can be life changing if you're not careful. I'm elated to have them in my pantry (and fridge) again!

Peppers are your friend
Differing from their awesome Habanero 2X, 4X varieties - the Beer Pickle batch has a healthy dose of Habanero Powder that will really stretch out that burn! When talking heat, things get a lot more permanent when you move away from using fresh hot peppers and start using derivative powders and oils. On their own, I really appreciate the more natural punch that the 2X and 4X have; however, the Beer Pickle is proving to be better in recipes (like Tuna Fish, Deviled Eggs, Relish for Brats). For out of the jar enjoyment, would suggest getting the 4X and chopping up, throwing in some of the abundant butterflied, pickled Habanero's. You can ramp up the heat that way and not still have "numb tongue" 20 minutes later. That being said, Beer Pickles are not novelty pickles - they have some great applications and are beautifully done.

Oh hell YES!
Oh hell YES! I'm a fan of spicier items (eg: morning scrambled eggs are always cooked with smoked ghost pepper and Trinidad mogura scorpion pepper from Electric Pepper Co), and these are awesome. My buddies and I can just strain 3 jars of these and have these plus a bowl of pretzels and some ales for lunch. You can also save the brine and mix in some V8/Clamato for an excellent caesar or bloody mary. Each pickle slice is on par with biting into a fresh African bird's eye or red Thai chili pepper, so this is not for people just entering the world of hot foods. Goes really well with beer, spam and eggs, sandwiches. Already finished off a crate with some friends, and ordering more. Add some pickled pigs feet and some good craft beer on the side if you want a very "southern" snack tray.

great spicy pickles, lasts a long time
These pickles are really spicy! We add more pickles to the brine after each jar, and even after three additions, the pickles still turn out painful and delicious. Once we go through some more of these jars, we'll also try adding carrots/okra/eggs/garlic/onions to the brine.I can see garlic and fennel seeds at the bottom of each jar, and an occasional habanero, in terms of seasoning. The spiciness does seem to vary a little bit jar to jar though, as the current jar that we're working on had a whole habanero pepper in it and was exceptionally (wonderfully) spicy.Goes great minced into Bloody Marys or gazpachos, or sliced thin on sandwiches. I also like to eat them with bacon. They also make a great snack on their own (with lots of water).
