No need for the holes on 2023 models microphone is on the front and it runs on bluetooth so no need for the hole in the front there is no laser in the front you can face remote backwards from the tv and hit buttons and it still works doesnt need to face tv

Perfect for those who toss remotes
I'm not saying that that it is good for your remote control to be tossed across the room, but when it does fall on the ground, it's pretty nice not to lose the batteries and the cover.
