Actual Product Review: The finish from this paint is beautifully smooth and clean and I have found it to be durable. Application is easy and you get excellent coverage. I have used Army Painter spray paint on a whole swarm of models now and none of them have had any problems with chipping or peeling from handling, tabletop use or transport. Aside from the defective can, which appears to have been just 'one of those things' as opposed to any indication of brand quality, I been very pleased with Army Painter spray paint and recommend it. Note: Do watch or read the tutorials as it is slightly different to your typical spray paint - particularly if you regularly use other brands of spray paint (you have to be closer to the model than you would usually be) and do perform the cleaning at the end of spraying to maintain longevity of your can. Original review: The can I received just a few hours ago was defective. No pressure. Paint just dribbling out. Totally unusable. The first tin of Army Painter Spray I bought was great. Still going strong and I was really happy with it. This is the second I have bought, and it doesn't work at all. I will be happy to improve this review if the returns policy works effectively and the next can works as intended. 'Army Painter' was recommended to me as a reliable brand so I am hoping this was just a bad tin and I got unlucky. Third times the charm!

I’ve used a fair number of spray primers over the years, but The Army Painter Colour Primer in Ultramarine Blue has quickly become a go-to for painting blue-themed miniatures. What makes it stand out is that it serves as both a primer and a basecoat in one, saving time and giving a consistent colour foundation straight out of the can. The matte acrylic finish dries evenly and doesn’t obscure fine details, which is always a concern when spraying models with intricate features. The Ultramarine Blue tone is ideal for Space Marines or other armies that rely on rich, deep blue hues. It matches well with other paints in The Army Painter range, especially their Warpaints line, and works beautifully with their Quickshade Dark Tone for adding depth and contrast. The spray nozzle delivers a smooth application, avoiding the splatter or pooling that sometimes happens with cheaper brands. I find two light coats are usually enough to get solid, even coverage without hiding detail. I am writing this review in regards to tge product not seller avoid this brand at all costs! I have owned 5 cans of this brands spray over the years only 2 have worked. They have all been different colours, the nozzles have been purged. This product is awful! It ceases being able to spray, they explode and cover you in paint, they are not cleanable either as they function briefly and then revert back to spraying thick blobs of wet paint

I bought The Army Painter Color Primer in White to prep a black metal piece, and the results are fantastic. The coverage is impressive—it managed to mask the original black surface perfectly. Auch die matte weiße Grundierung von Army Painter gehört bei mir inzwischen zur festen Standardausrüstung. Ich nutze die Colour Primer schon länger und bestelle sie regelmäßig nach, weil das Ergebnis zuverlässig und gut reproduzierbar ist. Das Weiß deckt bei mehreren dünnen Sprühgängen sauber, trocknet matt auf und bildet eine sehr gute Grundlage für helle, kräftige oder transparente Farbtöne. Gerade bei Miniaturen, Figuren und 3D-gedruckten Modellen kommen Farben anschließend deutlich leuchtender heraus als auf einer dunklen Grundierung. Das Sprühbild ist bei gründlichem Schütteln gleichmäßig, und feine Details bleiben erhalten, solange man nicht zu dick aufträgt. Für mich eine bewährte Grundierung, bei der ich weiß, was ich bekomme. Mein Geheimtipp: Weiße Grundierung eignet sich besonders gut unter Gelb, Rot, Orange, Hauttönen und Neonfarben. Wer trotzdem etwas mehr natürliche Schattierung möchte, kann das Modell zuerst dunkel grundieren und anschließend weiß schräg von oben aufsprühen – eine einfache Zenithal-Grundierung, die beim späteren Bemalen enorm hilft.

How is it possible that taking the lid off, could break the nozzle? The can was at 90% at least now is going to be wasted due to the bad quality design of the smallest part.

Love the paint, but if it’s ultra marine blue, why does it come out purple

Excellent product works great for miniatures. As long as you have a good technique your miniatures will be well primed and all the details on your miniatures will be perfectly there. BUT! this review rates the amazing customer service that I got from this seller, to solve the problem that I had. So cheers for them and be sure they won’t let you down.
