Great product
As soon as I got this set up internet improved across the board. Worth the price and easy to setup. Worked significantly better than my spectrum wireless router.

Advanced prosumer WIFI 6 router for half the price
I've recently had the pleasure of using the Cudy New AX3000 Dual Band Wi-Fi 6 Router, and let me tell you, it's been a game changer, especially as a secure travel router. The advanced capabilities of this device have truly impressed me.The Wi-Fi 6 upgrade is the star of the show. It's not just about speed, which is blazing fast, by the way, but also about how it handles multiple devices. On a family trip, everyone's gadgets were connected without any lag or drop in performance. Streaming, gaming, browsing - you name it, the Cudy router handled it like a champ. But here's the kicker - its smart beamforming technology. This feature meant that no matter where in the hotel room we were, we got a strong, focused signal. It felt like we had brought a piece of our home network with us on vacation. The dual-core processor ensures that everything runs smoothly. Whether it's for AR/VR gaming or just regular browsing, the performance is top-notch. The whole-house coverage claim holds up pretty well too, but it was its compactness and efficiency as a travel router that won me over. The DL/UL OFDMA & MU-MIMO technology is another standout. In layman's terms, it means that this router can handle a lot of devices and data, making it perfect for environments where multiple devices are in use simultaneously. It was like having a mini data center in my backpack!Security is a big deal for me, especially when traveling. The support for various VPN protocols like WireGuard and OpenVPN gave me peace of mind, knowing my family's online activities were secure and private.

Excellent value for using OpenWRT
Great value. Hard to find much fault with this device. It performs as expected. It's small and mountable. The signal covers a 3000 sq ft home. The included software is easily configured for a newbie as a router, AP or even client, but does not have much more detailed options you may find in more expensive routers. However it is also capable of running the latest OpenWRT if you want to geek out and unlock a wealth of new options, like VLANs. While you can brick it with flashing 3rd party firmware, you can also bring it back to life with Cudy's TFTP utility.

A very good router though storage a limiting factor for advanced tinkers.
Bought to bridge from my ISP modem. It seems to run a custom version of OpenWRT out of the box. They gave the option to flash to the vanilla version which I did so I could customize it a bit.Flashing was not too difficult and took less than 2 minutes to do after initializing. And of course, before attempting to flash please read the documentation first (hint: you need ethernet, WiFi will be disabled). So far it's been pretty good. WiFi 6 with good speeds both on 2.4 and 5GHz bands. I run in WPA3/WPA2 mixed modes for older device support. The wonderful maintainers for this model on OpenWRT is quite active and has released this year's version. The router only has 4 Ethernet ports at the back, 1 will be occupied for the WAN, this leaving with 3 for your devices. If you have more than 3 then you'll need to invest in a switch.I just wished it had a bit more space (both RAM and flash storage). That's one of my cavets. So only can be used as a little access point. For the money it's worth it. A lot powerful, modern and versatile than the TP-Link Archer AC series.

Easy installation, even for grandpa!
The router works as advertised. This router provides coverage for my entire home including my deck/patio areas. The installation was simple, even for an old man like me. Connectivity is a breeze and strong. I highly recommend the device.

A BEAST of a WiFi router for a budget price
This is the BEST WiFi for the money. It can use the current version of OpenWRT. That means all the features of the highest end WiFi devices are available on this budget WiFi router. DDNS, VPN, ..., and about 8,000 additional software packages. If you are a super-tech or grandma-tech, you can make it as sophisticated or simple as you want.As a side note, Amazon use to list the part incorrectly, but they have fixed it to the correct WX3000 part number now.It has 16GB of NAND (permanent) memory and 256MB of RAM.

Amazing Value! Wi-Fi6, WPA3, and VPN??!
UPDATE: April 2025 (4 months old) Broke. Waiting for support to get back “within 2 days”I just configured mine with NordVPN and set everything up. It’s so easy to configure!Of course, I don’t have the fastest internet speeds on the block because of the VPN but I’m able to stream shows in 4K and downloads to my computer are still fast. Even if you have a gamer in the house, you’re able to simply remove a checkbox to exclude that gaming device from under VPN coverage. This router has everything. I’m really impressed. Even the mobile app is very easy to use.
