Versatile travel rod
I got the 8ft version to use for general purpose freshwater and trout fishing - spinning, float, ledger and have been surprised how good it is. It fits in a 75cm travel tube which sits lengthways in my suitcase. While it is rated 20-40g and feels quite stiff, it will bash out a size 2 Mepps spinner or a 4g loaded waggler a respectable distance (25-30m) in calm conditions, and it doesn’t feel quite so rigid when in use. 20g plus lures cast well. Pairs and balances nicely with the Ceratec CT4 3000. I’ll take the outfit for some light sea fishing too. The only niggle is the slim rod handle which takes a bit of getting used to, but I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another of these.
