This glass is extremely thin and cheap like something you'd get at the dollar store it's not worth $25. It's not even green glass it's some cheap paint on the outside. The first time I HAND WASHED the decanter the paint started to peel, why would I want to drink out of something like that?

They are not kidding about "wash as carefully as possible." I have not used this carafe much, but the color is chipping and peeling off around the edge of the glass. The description states "food safe" due the the color being only on the outside of the glass. However where you put your mouth is where it is chipping. I did not notice this in the description, but it is important. The glass is not colored. It's clear glass, with a painted coating on it. The part you would scrub the most to get clean is also the part where you are most likely to eat the paint. It was inexpensive, and you get what you pay for. It's a shame, because it's a great size and really cute. But I will not use it anymore.

It’s not terrible, but you can find a better one for around the same price

Glass is not too thick, it’s pretty but any of the colored ones paint will come off. The color is not embedded within the glass. Paint came off the first usage/day. Really disappointed. Spending the money to ship it back wouldn’t be worth it so I’m just keeping it. Luckily the paint came off rather easy one it was condensated for a whole day with lemon water in it. Glad it wasn’t a huge sticky mess.

I put it in the dishwasher twice and the green plastic lining started to peel off after the second washing.
