Vary good and quite but.
unit worked good and was easy to install. Vary quite. I would give it a five star but i do not like that the heat blows to the side on about a 45 degree angle do to the shape of the grill fins. The heat is 1/3rd of the cover. I wish the heat would blow straight down or be adjustable. It still heat good but unless you have a bigger bath you may not be able to stand under the heat.

Family tested, contractor approved
Heat is instant and warms our bathroom from frigid to sauna in just a few minutes. The fan is whisper quiet, and the heater is only slightly louder. A steam filled 320 cubic foot room is cleared completely in about a minute. I didn’t install it myself but our contractor said he was pleased with our choice. The price is excellent for this level of quality so I highly recommend it.

Excellent!
Before this fan my bathroom had no ventilation. None. The walls and ceiling would drip with water after a shower and I constantly had to mop them with bleach to kill the mold and mildew that was inevitable.I absolutely love this ventilation fan. I did a lot of research, and often found this model to be in the top 5 best fans. Thats why I decided on it. It has a great pull when its running to move the air out and it passes the "tissue test." I was able to get mine ventilated to my chimney (rather than my attic) so my concerns about the mold are gone. When I shower now the glass on my mirror doesn't even fog up. The fan itself is amazingly quiet. The heater on this fan is a little louder than expected. The heater is louder than the fan. It is not bad, but it did surprise me. It doesnt bother anyone when its running and they are asleep. The heater is amazing and it has no trouble warming up my bathroom, and the fan and the heat actually seem to work well together. I had concerns the fan would just pull out all the heat, but it doesn't. They work great together. The light is not the brightest. I wouldn't want it as my only source of light. I have additional lights in my bathroom, so it is not a problem for me.One thing that I did not think of when I bought this is because of the heater it must be installed on its own breaker. I had a qualified electrician install mine, but it did run me some money to get it installed on a new breaker with new wiring that had to go through my garage, basement, a downstairs bathroom, up the wall and into the ceiling. I also did not have an existing hole in my ceiling, and my attic is not the most easily accessible spot. So it was a bit of an extensive process. In my opinion, it was worth the cost.I am completely satisfied with this fan. It does an amazing job and I enjoy the luxurious heat and warmth when I step out of the shower. But best of all I have not had to mop my ceiling and walls!

Love, love. Love this!
We had a “heat lamp” in our primary bathroom that was sparking. So, we had to replace it. Our electrician recommended going for a bathroom fan/heater combo. This one has a light too. We have 2 bathrooms upstairs and both have a heat lamp but I only got 1 of these initially. I didn’t want to buy 2 if we didn’t really like it.Let me tell you, after 2 days I ordered a 2nd one for the other bathroom! We love this thing! It puts out some good heat, also has a l ight which is nice. Seemed simple to install, the electrician was in and out in no time.I don’t use this every day, only when it’s a little cooler when I shower but my wife and son use it every single day and love it. If I shower after either of them the bathroom is still nice and warm even if i don’t use it!Great buy, highly recommend.

Not a typical install but one of a kind unit [heat & exh fan - NO LITE]
There are very few units that are ceiling mount that do NOT have a light. This is one of them. THe unit is pretty good. The DC motors will last a long time however, you can NOT run to the store and simply buy replacement motors! In fact one trick I have always done is (if you have to) buy a similar unit and just swap out the motors, so this is not going to happen either. The Install is NOT GOOD for “old work” and it is designed in BOTH electrical connection and mounting for NEW BUILDS. The mounting uses “legs” as you would use having FULL access to the joists which means ‘between floors’ (no attic access) you will have to MAKE IT UP as you go. The “legs” are absolutely NOT usable for this install. Not only would you have to finagle them into the ‘hole’ but the screws have to tighten from outside the housing. There are NO PrePUNCHED holes for mounting to the joists either. This is not unusual but units of are typically marked old work versus New Build when there are no Old WOrk Mounting provisions. This is pretty easy to fix but disappointing.Electrical connection is ALSO geared for NEW BUILDS such that the knockouts for the wiring are not in the housing, bu in a BIZARRE ACCESS COVER that unscrews from one side and actually wraps around the housing so you finagle that around too. THere is a knockout on the side and the top of the Cover which you will have to wire, Install a clamp and try to install with it WIRED IN PLACE. This is a HIGHLY unusual design issue. You do NOT see anything like this for OLD WORK. Again, you can work around it, but why? Fortunately after a closer look, you can AT LEAST access the wires once it is installed from an interior cover, AFTER you disconnect both Fan connectors from it!Oh YES, since the electrical housing access cover is on the side/top, should you want to punch some holes in the side of the housing to mount it directly to a joist (also to keep any motorized fan from vibrating) you have a 50/50 chance the access cover screw will be against the joist. Mine was but I hav enough room to run the wire in from the top knockout. One other note is you need to used Alum Tape on the plastic exhaust hose adapted/connector as mine slide off pretty freely and I could see no mechanical method designed in place to keep it from vibrating upwards. For reference, the heater element does NOT sit against the sides so you should be fine with direct joist mounting on the SIDES, but the HEATER END (oppoisite the fan duct) uses the Housing as a ‘surround’ for the Heat Elements, so I venture to say you would NOT want to mount that end direct to a Joist for safety. In closing, this is NOT a simple DIY and you really have to know what you can ‘get away with’ but it works for me only because there were no other choices and it is still a reasonable quality unit.
